UAB wasted a lot of opportunities against USCe last week (or at least it sounded that way listening to the halftime recap on the radio). Could have made it interesting for at least 2-3 quarters. OSU more in control now.

3/3 so far with a long of 54, and all of his kickoffs go out the back of the endzone. He did miss the early PAT, though.

As someone who has lived in the Birmingham area my entire life

I'm really pulling for UAB. Birmingham needs something to be proud of, and I really hate how the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa continues to tie UAB's hands behind their backs. McGhee is a great hire for them and I hope he is there a while.

UAB used to be the solid number 3 school in the state of Alabama in sports, but Troy has really surged ahead of them. UAB really doesn't have much to be proud of right now so I'm hoing McGhee can bring back a sense of pride to the school and to the city.

But Bama shut it down. UAB getting Neil Callaway as their HC was an absolute joke and it was embarrasing for them and Alabama because everyone knew he wasn't anywhere close to their top candidate and that Bama was pretty much screwing UAB. That whole situation is terrible, and honestly I'm surprised UAB was able to get McGhee. I thought he was a great candidate for the job, maybe almost too good like Jimbo was a few years back.
