UCF dude on Pom squad?

Watching UCF and the Fightin' Baptists last night and noticed this:

Has anyone else ever seen a dude on a pom squad? I recall a sprightly Michigan baton aficionado from the Gator Bowl, complete with velour maize and blue sparkles getup, doing his thing but never on a pom squad. Minus that one anomaly in NOLA, I'm a pretty good judge of dude or not. Note the pronounced Adams apple.

Looked more like flag line to me. As my wife (a flag girl many moons ago) said last night, if they can do the job, you have to let them in. Just another benefit of modern society.

Thats a "Flaggot" to you & I sir, not that there's anything wrong w/ it.

That big high school all star band or whatever it was at Liberty Bowl had 2 male twirlers, not sure what those are referred to as (the one closest to us was pretty damn good, as twirlers go anyway).

I can picture it now, "hurry up mom, I'm going to be late for baton practice". "Sorry son, I'm busy, you'll have to get your dad to take you today". Dad puts palm to face, hangs head. Sorry if I offended any of you baton/flag dads of males out there.

Thought so too but I watched the clip a few times and it was clear he had a gold pom pom in addition to being in sync with the rest of the girls doing their UCF cheer. Fabulous.

Some things are just naturally better left to females, and some things better left to males. Kind of a biological thing.

Nobody's mentioned A&M's cheerleaders. Sure, we and most schools have male cheerleaders, but their sole purpose seems to be tossing the girls around. The A&M ones dance around just like the girls ... just doesn't seem to fit.
