The fact is, UConn was a good team this year, not a great one. I thought their #2 seed was mostly a nod to their legacy and not to their on-court performance this year.

At any rate, it should matter little. There is one dominant team this year and unless they play a bad game on the same night their opponent plays their best game, everybody else is playing for 2nd place.

Had the roster remained healthy, the 2-seed would have been accurate.

U Conn had players out. ND had their best two players out. One of them is one of the best in the country

A storyline that interested me during the game was the opportunity for OSU to end the collegiate career of former Buckeye Dorka Juhasz. I find it hilarious she’s headed home while her former team continues on.

UCONN had one player out of significance, and Geno had all season to adjust to her absence. He still had more highly recruited players on his roster than Ohio State. Geno just didn't have it this year. I guess even the GOAT has a down year.

Hard to, if not impossible to “adjust “ to losing a player like her
