They'd make a comment about how the crowd was "rocking" when 5 people would start clapping, and I swear they were two of them. It reminded me of Major League. "And listen to this crowd get behind Vaughn!"
My brother in law is a Georgia football season ticket holder, and was surprised that college teams played baseball. He was more surprised when I took him with me to the SEC Baseball championship in Hoover, and there were thousands of fans there for both State and OM.
What MSU fans don't realize is that college baseball is a MINOR sport. We talk about the "Big 3" sports and that's ********. There's only 2 big sports. Here's the heirarchy.
1. Football
gap
2. Basketball
big gap
3. Baseball
3 (tie). Titty basketball (I'm being kind to baseball here)
big gap
Anything else.
I remember when Notre Dame came to Starkville for the regional and they played in front of more people in that one game than they had played in front of their entire season combined.
They absolutely couldn't believe that we drew 13k plus at SBW back in 06 against them. It blew their minds and most of them that weren't there didn't believe it... which was all but about 10 GA fans.
