Love the early kickoffs! Can grab breakfast on the way down and be home to watch the rest of the games.

A friend of mine in Minnesota had season tickets to the Gophers for years but gave them up because of all the 11am games. I much prefer night games, it would be nice if we had some 530pm starts

I know I'm in the minority but I kinda like the early games. I don't like to spend all day waiting around but that is just from a personal standpoint. For the programs sake, I'd much rather the games be later so that we can get more recruits in here and the atmosphere is better later on.

It works well for me this week. Our annual extended family picnic (out in the sticks, no game access) starts at 3:00. Otherwise I was just going to email them all to say "hey".

Hope everyone goes to bed early Friday night. Don't want a tired hung over crowd with the blue hairs.

Heck with that. We'll be in Lincoln by 3pm Friday, camper set up by 4 & in the HayMarket by 6. Oh BTW, I'll be back at the camper & in bed by 9:30. Party on Garth.

On these early games I have just enough time to run to our local farmer's market and grab a few things including some great cinnamon rolls and get home. These games start at 9:00am on the West Coast.

Most important issue is how it affects recruiting. Don't care about your cinnamon rolls and farmers market bla bla bla. Want the recruits to be able to get there and witness husker game day

haha I don't think he was saying his cinnamon rolls were more important than recruiting.

I am surprised you can get out of your hovel in time to watch a 11:00am game much lees worry about recruiting. After you finish your gruel are you in a better mood?

Thats why the biggest recruiting weekend of the year is the Wisconsin and Michigan State games. As for the 12 Eastern games, you can point the blame squarely on Jim Delaney, the commissioner of the Big Ten. This was basically all his doing.

I prefer 11:00 AM starts to any other time, there's less time for the amateur (and professional to some extent) alcoholics to get tanked up. For that reason alone I have come to disdain night games, that and the university can't seem to find enough money to put some decent lighting in along 10th Street near the Behlen Building etc. Before anyone asks no I'm not selling my Michigan State tickets, I'll put up with the complaints above for one night game.

I would also expect that the Iowa game will be at 11:00 AM, I don't know of any reason for ABC to put that game in the 2:30 time slot.

Have you ever had a problem with people that were drunk at a Husker game?

Yes I have and it's irritating. I personally do not drink and never have (ever) and that of course is my choice and I do not expect that to be the case with everyone. I just wish those who do overindulge would do a little better job of controlling themselves.

What kinds of problems have you had at Nebraska games? I usually don't see much in terms of issues but I am sure there are a lot.

Well the most recent issue was last year when the person in front of me staggered in and then amazingly started jumping up and down on the seat bench. I finally told him to knock it off or I'd have him removed (he's lucky he didn't fall and hurt himself or someone else). He was drunk enough that I could smell it. The bathrooms at night games are a mess with people missing the target because they're so sloshed.

I'm in Phoenix right now, so I'm not loving the early kickoff. Not sure if any of the watch sites will even be open at 9AM local time.
