Heck with that. We'll be in Lincoln by 3pm Friday, camper set up by 4 & in the HayMarket by 6. Oh BTW, I'll be back at the camper & in bed by 9:30. Party on Garth.Hope everyone goes to bed early Friday night. Don't want a tired hung over crowd with the blue hairs.

Love the early kickoffs! Can grab breakfast on the way down and be home to watch the rest of the games.
Most important issue is how it affects recruiting. Don't care about your cinnamon rolls and farmers market bla bla bla. Want the recruits to be able to get there and witness husker game day
Thats why the biggest recruiting weekend of the year is the Wisconsin and Michigan State games. As for the 12 Eastern games, you can point the blame squarely on Jim Delaney, the commissioner of the Big Ten. This was basically all his doing. Most important issue is how it affects recruiting. Morning game helps this week, selfishly speaking. Driving my wife and 3 daughters in from Denver this afternoon. First game for my 3 girls. They are pumped! So am I!Well that is going to suck. Way to kill tailgating for probably our last decent weather game.
I prefer 11:00 AM starts to any other time, there's less time for the amateur (and professional to some extent) alcoholics to get tanked up. For that reason alone I have come to disdain night games, that and the university can't seem to find enough money to put some decent lighting in along 10th Street near the Behlen Building etc. Before anyone asks no I'm not selling my Michigan State tickets, I'll put up with the complaints above for one night game.
I would also expect that the Iowa game will be at 11:00 AM, I don't know of any reason for ABC to put that game in the 2:30 time slot.
Have you ever had a problem with people that were drunk at a Husker game?
It is kind of nice not to deal with those a-hole cu fans anymore. Not since Missouri and Colorado fans stopped showing up in Lincoln for games....![]()

Yes I have and it's irritating. I personally do not drink and never have (ever) and that of course is my choice and I do not expect that to be the case with everyone. I just wish those who do overindulge would do a little better job of controlling themselves.
Well the most recent issue was last year when the person in front of me staggered in and then amazingly started jumping up and down on the seat bench. I finally told him to knock it off or I'd have him removed (he's lucky he didn't fall and hurt himself or someone else). He was drunk enough that I could smell it. The bathrooms at night games are a mess with people missing the target because they're so sloshed.
