EA, NB, RK going 2-21 hurt as well. Lack of offense from those 3 may have contributed to IN high-risk plays. IN has to go at least 1-2 on those FTs though.

I agree. Indya as team leader was trying to force things a bit with other doing poorly.

Texas and LU both took EA and RK out of the offense by attacking them at the arc.

Of course R Kelly is not 100% back to full form.

E Aarnisalo and N Brooks both had bad days.

No doubt we will have to deal with pressure tactics until we start beating it.

This is where in game adjustments has to be done by CB. We spent all of last year on the other board discussion this; therefore, I will mentioned this fact and then leave this alone moving forward. Those stats above is telling us this fact about being able to make in game adjustments and knowing your players strengths and weaknesses. I do agree what Unman1 stated above. The stats also suggest that we should have gotten the ball inside to NH and CT more. Then those 3 point shots might have been open shots.

I agree with what Unman1 stated above. The stats suggest that CB should have made in game adjustments and that CT and NH should have gotten more touches inside. This would have given our 3 point shooters open looks which might have help their percentages.

Was playing Henderson 15 min in the 2nd half and OT versus zero for Brooks a half time adjustment?

How about switching to alternating zone and M2M defenses after Louisville scored 38 points in the first half and holding them to 28 in the 2nd?

Outscoring them by 5 in the second half?

Louisville scored 28 points in teh first quarter. that is just awful defense. But we outplayed them for the remainder of regulation. Not by a lot obviously, but enough to come back and have a 3 point lead with 19 seconds left before things fell apart

To be clear, I don't agree with every decision that was made in this game (I questioned the starting lineup for OT in the game thread and 42 min for Grant seemed off balance to me), but just curious how you came to the conclusion that no in-game adjustments were made?

Well, I see that you never played basketball and therefore, you do not understand what I mean. I will give you one example and leave it at that. Bottom line NH and CT were killing Louisville inside in the first quarter. NH was killing them on the offensive glass and scoring. CB takes NH out during the second quarter. A good coach would have put her back in since Louisville did not have an answer for keeping her off the glass during the 1st quarter. That is an in-game adjustment. Someone posted the FG percentages for that game, and CT and NH had the highest simply because the closer you are to the basket the percentage of making the shot will be higher. That is just basic math. Also, I would like for you to watch tape or watch UCONN plays. Gino will show you how a coach makes in-game adjustments. He does it all the time and he is not the only one. There are plenty of coaches who do this very well.

As I have said before, I played basketball, not that that matters a hill of beans in analyzing the game. there are plenty of good coaches who barely played at all, and plenty of good players who are dumbasses without a ball in their hands. continually denigrating posters by how much basketball they played is not going to win any debates.

louisville scored 28 points in Q1. That is in pace for 112 for the game.they built a 4 point lead. I don’t think it went as well as you remember. harris and Toomey combined for 3 baskets In 15 minutes in Q1. Killing it?

they played 40 additional minutes the rest of the game so basically the same minutes rate. Slightly lower usage rate in terms of amount of shots taken.

The bet was "Nyla Brooks" will start from day 1. The loser of that bet agreed to no longer use terms like "you obviously have never played basketball before" or "I have told you multiple times". In other words quit being a message board bully.

FYI, the ignore feature works well. It gives the bully no one to talk down to if everyone ignores all comments from the bully. It is like they never existed.

I think we both know the person in question will never change.

As for the ignore feature, it would be great if everyone took that advice about this person.

I did not agree to that, but I will not let someone try to suppress my thoughts and opinions either. I do not have a problem with disagreements but I do have a problem when posters try to knock my opinions or thoughts down.

Well, if that is how you feel then so be it. I will take the high road and end my comments on this matter here.
