She Woulda been a Tar Heel, will now play pro ball as a minor. This may end much of the college pipeline to 17 year olds enrolling in college early, before going pro early?
My mistake; I did not recognize the name. I thought she was the first 17 year-old to be allowed into the pros domestically and that was a recent thing.Moultrie has been playing in the NWSL for a few years now (not a recent thing) Lindsey Horan (also former UNC committ) was the first to skip college to go pro. Moultrie made it more mainsteam with her court case win.
I agree with your assessment. Moultrie's gripe was that she didn't wanna have to wait 4 years. Players can now go pro after a year in college..which might actually be a better option for many.
less players will go pro straight out of High school
Thought we had a good freshman class coming in next season.Well, that sucked.
They were more aggressive, in control, and appeared to be more talented. If not for the own goal, it would have looked far worse.
We need to look at the formation. Faasse needs to play forward. Two forwards are better than one. With how dangerous Freifeld has looked, start her at MF. Give it a try.
We need an influx of talent for next year.
I hope players get healthy and look forward to Gundry being able to play again when she recovers from her arm injury.
The best news is every regular season game from here on out is winnable.
Thanks for the info on freshmen class coming in.Is Bradley back yet? As I stated before, Damon has 6 of our best players playing 90 minutes every game. Their bodies are starting to show signs of being tired and worn down. As someone stated earlier, Damon feels the players on the bench are not ready yet which means we do not have any depth. Duke followed the blue print that other teams did when they beat us. Press the heck out of us, wear their best players down and tire them out, then you got them. This is what they are doing. We have a really good freshman class coming in next year. We have the number 2, 6, 9, 11, and 13 players in the nation coming in provided that they do not go pro. A lot of them are coming from California. The question is how to you keep your best players from burning out? I am open to suggestions. Damon and his staff needs answers to this question and they need it fast.
