Bubba Cunningham, North Carolina’s Director of Athletics and a member of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Committee for the past three seasons, was named vice-chair of the committee for next season and the chair of the committee in 2024-25.

In this situation, it's standard for criminals to be the judge, jury, and executioner. How else do you protect yourself from ever getting caught?

Yes. And this appointment strongly highlights why the Cheats were so successful in escaping punishment by the NCAA for the "academic" scandal. An inside job? Now, apparently, it never happened. At all. Move along....

This is semipro sports. It’s not like these were some great scholars. Probably good they didn’t take up space and resources in real classes. They are there to play basketball
Nobody cares about unc basketball players taking fake classes except for some old farts on this board. We don’t even play them.
It’s a weird obsession some of you got

It’s the way it is . But it‘a ok to take a one and done guy, who doesn’t even attend classes after December . If we have one of those guys leading us deep into March in 2025, no one is going to care about the academics.

I can relate to that story. My sister had the same issue with our brother. It came out as Bubba, and we started calling him Bubbie. Bubbie's lifelong friends address him by the nickname, but newbies call him John.

As a 40+ year resident of NC, I've witnessed the mass adoration and glory of UNC BB, a program that achieved success and won championships by doing things with integrity and honor i.e. "The Carolina Way." Turned out to be a crock of shiite. They were cheating for decades. And then I got to witness firsthand what the UNC powerbase did to Jimmy V when he started winning. They forced him out because a few kids were selling their comp tickets and BB shoes. Petty. Unbelievable. So, yeah, Go Heels! Effing frauds.

Not in these threads and on this issue . It’s the old farts . The one farter even said he was a 40 year resident of North Carolina !
