I understand part of it is just build up for football season to start, but c'mon. There has seriously got to be more stuff to talk about. Hell, SEC Media Days in going on. Did Petrino say anything stupid? It's kinda like on Spirit two weeks ago. At one time, EVERY thread on the board was about the mascot debate and naming them the Black Bears or something. It was truly sad.

to drink at the games, you wouldn't give a **** about where the maroon is, and where the white is, and whether there is a third color, or whether their socks match the shoes properly and all that kind of ****. Just a thought.

and I`m extending you an open invitation to visit our tailgate at any game this year and help me make sure I`m in the right frame of mind to enjoy MSU football regardless of what the unis look like. But when I`m sober I do still care.

And as for uniforms, now that Media Days are here, there really isn't any reason to worry about logos, helmets, jerseys, etc... They were a nice thought, the pages from the athletic department were an excellent find (jackatshelter?), and the suggestions were creative and sufficed in passing the time. But nothing is going to change between now and next summer, so for me, it's a dead issue. Sure, I'd love to see something different on our helmets. But now, all that matters is how we look in the standings. Before we know it, the season will be upon us. We've got less than forty days. The discussion topics need to shift to questions and answers about this year's team. Not logos. Not helmets. Not pants. And certainly not incorporating black into the color scheme, although it could be a cool one time deal.

Slickdawg, keep the videos coming. From whatever year, in whatever uniforms, just keep em coming. Let's get the juices going. I realize I'm optimistic as hell, but we've got a chance to be better than we were last year. And you can call me a sheep, an ***, or an idiot all you want, but we can win 9 games...in the regular season. Look around at the other teams in this league and you'll see that we're close. We're not Florida, Georgia, or LSU, but we're relevant.

I know some people are afraid of that optimism. Perhaps I am too. And it's completely understandable. It's a feeling we as a fan base haven't had in a while. Like a new girl after years of heartache, some of us are just hoping that this year's football team isn't a lying, cheating *****... That last year wasn't a fluke. But ya know what? Maybe she's the real thing. It's certainly possible.

Perhaps I'm a little off, and I may have gone off the deep end a long time ago, but you get my drift. It's been a long god damn time since I was this excited about a football season.

I care if we have the shittiest, cheapest uniforms in the SEC.

Funny thing- it seems to me that gay people can design anything and are good with colors with everything except sports uniforms. So, therefore, no sports uniforms and logos aren't gay.

sour mash in Ky. to make me like those white helmets. Right now we look like a juco team. I don't rant about it so I don't know if that makes me passionate about it but I think our uni's mirror our offense, both suck.

I think had I not worded the poll question "YOU might be ghay", we might have a different result. Obviously, for most people, they would answer that they are not ghay, no matter what -- even if an obsession with the color combinations, etc. of men's sports uniforms might indicate otherwise.

There is nothing wrong with being passionate about uniforms. Uniforms have always been a part of tradition for some teams, college and pro. College football......most successful teams have not changed helmets or jerseys in decades. Penn State, Alabama, Nebraska, and Ohio State, just to name a few, don't have flashy helmets with cutting edge logos. Alabama and Nebraska's helmet logos are terrible. However, I am sure their fans would be raising hell if changes were made to a helmet color or helmet logo.

Also, people, whether they admit it or not, form opinions about others based on their dress. You should always want your school and team to strive to look their best. Especially when something like football is the face of your institution and is being displayed on national TV at times. </p>

i though we, as a university were making positive strides in LBGT relations. it's questions like this that only drag us down........ tru DAWGS fans don't talk about homosexuals like that.

i'm starting to get a little "flukey" feeling. our offense just has to step it up. i think sly can get the DAWGS on the right track, offensively, but it ain't gonna be e-z.
