Uniforms - A One Gamer or The New Look?

I loved them... I didn't care for the legState... But oh well... Those jerseys were legit. I'm totally ok w/ Maroon helmet w/ Maroon face mask, but I forgot how much I missed the white face mask on the glossy Maroon helmet.
I kept thinking that members of our teams from '97-'00 were out there. Eugene Clinton made some nice plays, and that was a helluva run by Dontae Walker after the FG block.
I absolutely loved our uniforms and wish we would wear them full time. We finally looked like Mississippi State again. Finally our own look that people can tell us apart from A&M. Loved the retro 1999 jerseys with white face masks and glossy helmets. Just wear our normal pants and we will be back to the glory days. If Scott or anyone with decision power reads SPS please please please take heed of this thread. I can't express enough how much better we look in these uniforms. And despite what some on here think, it does matter what we look like. The brand new stadium packed with everyone in white looked super sharp, but even with the new expansion, the best thing about last night were the retro uniforms.
No, never again. They were horrendous. Recruits have no point of reference from which to appreciate white face masks and dated turn-of-the century fonts. It just makes most young people think of the cheap helmets they wore in youth and middle school football.
And what's the point of a throwback uniform if NONE OF IT is really a throwback? Did we have M-State on our pants in 1990? A full, head-to-toe throwback would be awesome for one game, but otherwise, we aren't Ole Miss, and celebrating a past of being average isn't what State is about. I

I thought they were the absolute best we have had in awhile. Really similar to the sherrill years, and I really hope they will become regulars. The white facemasks sets em off as well. I know I will be disappointed as I'm sure we will go in another direction.
