Uniforms continue to be the issue....

Better than that throwback from the time of Swatches but why not just leave well enough alone? Wish the Bench Mobb would take all the alternate uniforms, pile them up in the motel parking lot, and drop a natch on them after soaking them in diesel.

I keep waiting for the day that someone like Adidas or Nike buys the Mona Lisa, and then repaints her hair pink, and puts an iphone in her hand. These companies just won't leave well enough alone, and I wish the university would show their trendy ideas and crappy contract the door. I think in 20 years, fans are gonna look back at all these different schools' uniform changes and view them the same way folks now think of bell bottoms and mullets.
I've always, for the most part, been fine with the tweaks or one-time uni mods for games... but good grief. I'm getting a little tires of this ****. I don't understand why we can't just look 17ING NORMAL for a big game/series.

Why do we have to change the uniform every time we play a big game?
Why yellow cleats? This is maddening. Are we this beholden to Adidas that every time they crap out a new spiffy design we have to wear it?
At least we're not wearing the hats. Adidas actually designed the shoes. With the hat they just colored the MS yellow. We would look super stupid with yellow letters and numbers instead of white.

I got no problem w/ innovation: end zone hash tags, slogans (Hail State), Tweet offs, facial hair, even fun (but bad) rap videos. BUT, Adidas, Stricklin, Head Coaches, for the love of all things maroon & white, quit this crap, now. This junk looks like something from That 70's Show or The Brady Bunch. Just sickening....

and I love Adidas (except when they do the same uniforms for us and aTm). It means something to me that Adidas views MSU as a big boy. We are their Michigan, Alabama, Texas, Oregon etc. and if you are a fan of MLB teams like the Dodgers you would know that the bright yellow is being worn on cleats, bracelets and necklaces. It's a fad. We are in the spotlight and Adidas was with us when we sucked donkey dick in all sports and they are with us when we succeed. We shine and they get to shine too. It's their reward too.

Exactly what I was thinking! Dear Lord, make them stop. Someone in our AD needs to show Adidas the way to the exit door.
If we had ****** unis, fine change em up...but when u have bad *** baseball unis, I want the country to see them in the CWS. Especially since we haven't been in several years. Instead we will lose AND get laughed at.
You honestly should. Here's why:
Everytime we win a big game like a SR and are wearing something ridiculous, it gets imprinted in time. Recruits see it as well since that moment is one of the main things we use to recruit people.
Imagine us doing the dogpile this past week against Virginia wearing the Asstros throwaways. Evertime you see something about the baseball team, that's what you would see- OVER and OVER again.
Adidas needs to learn that with baseball, basic is much better and is actually IN style. See the Astros going back to their more 60's retro style uniforms.
Royal blue/neon yellow/neon lime is the trend now. I see nothing wrong with these, as they are (the caps) solely warm up gear. Free stuff for the players and they probably love them. Adidas climacool material is the most comfortable out there to me, and I hope they continue MSU gear I can buy for a long time. Another company that is using MSU logos in a good way is Top of the World. They make caps and some darn good looking trucker style ones. They're using the bulldog head logo a lot which looks really good on a cap. Even had an Ole Miss fan tell me early in the week he'd wear my new cap because it's "suave".
Nailed it Todd. Obviously, we'd all rather win in the Asstros uniforms than lose in anything else, but it's just stupid to say you don't care what we wear just as long as we win. It's not an either/or proposition. Nothing wrong with wanting to win and look good at the same time.
Other than getting kicked around like a dog in the game, I liked the black jerseys/shorts with neon shoes against UNC in basketball.
Baseball is a traditional sport though. Basketball is not.
