3. R.E. Lee 23.0000
4. Buffalo Gap 22.8000
5. King William 21.5000 or 21.6000 (A Bruton win over Warhill would give King William 21.6000)
6. Washington & Lee 21.4000
7. George Mason 21.2222
8. Brunswick 21.0000
9. Greenville 20.8000
10. Amelia 20.4000
11. East Rockingham 20.3000
12. Stuarts Draft 20.0000
13. Central (W) 19.2000
14. Strasburg 19.1000 or 19.2000 (A James Wood win over Handley would tie Central with Strasburg. Central won the head to head meeting.)

15. Arcadia 17.3000 or 17.5000 (Broadwater Academy win should give them 17.5000.)
16. Wilson Memorial 17.1000
* Bruton can get in with a win over Warhill. They would have 17.6000 and move to 15th.

Just my two cents...
I have Arcadia at 170 right now, with the possibility of 171 if broadwater wins
They had 145 (from vhsl rating sheet) coming into this week, they beat Northampton got 16 for the win, 2 bonus points for smaller school, and 6 rider points for 3 Northampton wins or 24 total. The only rider points they got last night were from Franklin who they lost to so only 1 point there giving the 170 points at the moment, they lost to broadwater so only one rider point there giving them a possible 171.

I got slightly different values for a few others, but seeding matches up. I may be wrong but would like to know where I went wrong if so.

How'd Amelia drop to 10? They beat both Greensville and brunswick? Was it because of bluestones upset victory last night? And idk if that eliminated amelia's chances for a home playoff game or not? Anyone know the officsl match ups for playoffs for 2a east?

Amelia is going to be the 10 seed, and travel to George mason, taking a loss to a 2 win team and only getting 9 points for the game instead of 22 for the win dropped them from the 5/6 seed to ten, not many points separate 10 seed from 5 seed.

That Gap loss to East Rock last night really cost them - slipping to #4, opposite Goochland

I still can't believe Lee has recovered from that 2-3 start to finish #3
I remember when Riverheads pounded them in the first game of the season - Lee had new coach/offense.
Then the 4th quarter collapse against Goochland, and the one point loss @ Turner Ashby.
The team has recovered very nicely, and looks like it's in peak form heading into post-season.

No you're right. I think I was looking at a different set of numbers with Arcadia. I went back and updated it. I was doing these pretty late. If you see others feel free to post your numbers.

Seems like a good first round matchup for raiders then raiders shoulda won last night game but officiating and a slow first half start messed them up and lost 28-25 should be a good first round match up though

Warhill currently up 20-0 in 2nd Q

Looks like we will be heading to our all to familiar playoff foe Goochland

Any feedback on tiebreaker then... From vhsl handbook...

d) A team that played an opponent with an effective nine (9) game schedule
(non-recognized opponent, i.e., home school or out-of-state non-public school, or inability to schedule/play a 10th game) shall be seeded ahead of a school whose opponents play 10 game schedules.

Broadwater only has 9 games in vhsl rating sheet. So Arcadia edges Wilson on tiebreaker?

After the first couple games, I did not think they would finish the season above .500

RE Lee looked crisp and ready for the playoffs against Harrisonburg and Waynesboro, the two games I watched.

Correction, Gap is in a different bracket. They wil play the Goochland/Wilson winner. They better hope Goochland doesn't throw much.

I found it interesting that five teams from our Valley area (Lee, SD, BG, Wilson, and East Rock) made it into the field of 16 for the 2-A East playoffs, yet none of them drew each other in the first round. Obviously there will be some match-ups between them if they keep winning.

My gut feeling is that Lee and BG will win at home Friday night, and that East Rock might pull out a road win. Don't feel very confident about SD, and as for Wilson, well............bless their little hearts.
