Appomattox will probably fall a little deeper in that points assessment even if they win vs. Chatham this week. The last game of the season vs. 4A Amherst will be the bonus lifter. Going to be interesting. Raiders need a game like that going into the playoffs.

Would like to see Gate City make it in. I believe they could beat the teams 8-16 and actually have beaten a couple of them. No offence to the bottom teams but I think they are most deserving of that final spot.

Martinsville still in hunt with 2-6 record, they must have played some powerhouse teams.

Martinsville made the play-offs last year at 1-9. they do play a fairly strong schedule. A lot of 2-A, 3-A, 4-A teams. Maybe even a 5-A.

Martinsville plays 2 2A teams, and the rest of there schedule is either 3,4, or 5A schools. They are the only 2A team in the Piedmont District and the only team they don't play in their district is 6A Franklin Co.

That comeback win over Dan River has kept Martinsville in the mix as the Wildcats are 6-3.

Plus, they are the lone 2A schools in the multi-class Piedmont. Those losses still give them some points.
2A - Martinsville
3A - Tunstall, Patrick County, & Magna Vista
4A - GW-DANVILLE & Bassett
5A - Halifax County
6A - Franklin County

Look at James River! Who knew they would be rated this highly? I haven't followed them very closely, but I do remember they gave Glenvar a good game. A potential matchup against Graham (if the season ended today with these points) could be interesting.

I'm pretty confident JR wins in first round against any potential matchup. They are very good.

Appomattox will get the 1 seed if they beat Amherst. Richlands made it interesting but they are out of gas with only one game remaining. Doubt Glenvar can catch Union even if they beat Radford and win out so they will be the 2 or the 3. Except for the 1 seed all the 2nd round matchups are going to be a blood bath and look like a regional semi final.
