If I'm not mistaken, wasn't Graham the 3 seed last year in that region?
Yes. Graham was the # 3 and beat #2 union.

Richlands was the #4 and beat #1 Ridgeview.

It was #3 vs #4 for the region championship game

Hoping for a similar outcome in region D this year. Graham's defense has really stepped it up (similar to last season). We shall see.

Graham’s defense is rolling right now and I’ll admit I was worried early on & it finally clicked. GMen have many options on offense. They can run & pass. The OL is really doing their job now. I’m not saying they win Region D but if they do, I won’t be at all surprised.

D. Palmer and R. Bradshaw have worked their magic again on defense. They have improved throughout the season. I think they have added a wrinkle or 2 for when they match up with a strong running team. I hope I get a chance to see how it works out for them.

If first round is chalk, you'll get your wish lol. Union still hasn't developed much of a passing threat despite having the weapons there on the outside.
But you guys know that considering Bears had a couple passing TDs in Bluefield, one being a great play on a fortuitous bounce.

Union played well and came to play in Bluefield. GMen did themselves no favors that game. Bullitt Park is a tough location but if GMen make it there, I think their heads will be on a little straighter than when Union visited Bluefield.

Union exposed a huge weakness on Grahams defense and adjustments have been made, question is, will it work? Union is tough to beat at Union as we all know. I would love it if these 2 match up in round 2. Graham would have the chance to redeem themselves and if Union beats them, there are no excuses.
Both teams have to get through round 1 first, but I believe a Union-Graham
rematch would be awesome.
