I don't think the bad calls really pushed the game in one direction or the other, but there was plenty of stupid officiating calls. Like I said, Doege played really well. His pick 6 was a disastrous play, but unlike in games past where his dink and dunk style doesn't make up for it as it usually eventually stalls drives when he misses a throw, this time he was able to push the ball down field and find the end zone. The first pick was definitely on Ford-Wheaton who made up for it with that impressive second TD catch. It was a great win, but plenty of tape here for our next opponent to dissect especially for the defense.
One thing for sure Oklahoma State will prepare as ISU thought this was an automatic win.

To beat ISU you just have to make Purdy play bad and WVU did.

Good win but talk about home cooking. Definitely wasn’t a fumble at the goal line and Purdy got the 1st on their last drive.
I suggest you watch again as Purdy was out of bounds before extending and the official marked it where he was out. The ball on the goal line was a fumble.

Not that it mattered to you but there were plenty of bad calls to go around against WVU as well that nearly cost the game. There was no home cooking.

If anyone would go back and look on the fumble at the goal line, the ISU offensive lineman's foot is what caused the ball to come loose. His foot was on the 1/2 yard line, thus the ball was loose before crossing the goal line. Now was his knee down? It was a bang-bang situation, and the call on the field was fumble, thus not enough to reverse it. That has happened against WVU just as many times as in their favor.

And the first down. I really can't argue much against that. I thought he extended the ball out as his knee hit and it did appear to be a first down.

But the offensive PI on Ford-Wheaton may have been the worst call of the entire day.

Also, I thought it was pathetic watching ESPN College Final and highlights, they did their top 5 plays, and Ford-Wheaton's catch in the back of the end zone never made the top 5 plays of the day. Really? Was there a better catch yesterday than that one? I don't think so.

I'd look for OSU to bring the heat. Crowd the line to stop the run and rush Doege. Leave WR in single coverage and dare Doege to consistently make throws with defenders in his face. And if they do focus on 1 reciever, it'll be Bryce Ford Wheaton.

This would be good news for Wright. I'd expect "the Mullet" to be more worried about Wright than BFW. A slant pass to Wright with no safety help over the top might go for six, even if the route is cut short, due to QB pressure.

This one has the feel of 17-13 type game.
