I don't really understand this. Cards have only one loss to a mid level team. They were a last second shot from beating a ranked Texas team. They're not alone this season in having 2 other losses to power 5 teams in close games.

Why is 4 and 4 the worst NET rating of power 5 schools? Does the NET rating include perception due to the season before?

I'm not saying Louisville isn't one of the worst power 5 teams, but why are they the worst? Strength of schedule through 8 games is nowhere near being one of the worst. So what is it?

The other power 5 teams in competition for the worst ranking have better resumes. It’s not like we’re in Coppin State or UMBCs class, but that’s how we’ve been conditioned the last 2 years. We don’t hold up well in comparison to even the worst other P5 teams. Last year’s team was literally the worst team in history of P5 rankings all time. Thats what we are comparing this years team to. Not just a bad team, but the worst in history of all others.

They built the earlier schedule to get him wins. You could say they also were fortunate with the ACC schedule.

They are better but only if compare it to last year. That VT team isn’t as good as their team last year. Here is the problem they are so bad on defense they can lose to anyone and I mean anyone including Depaul. They can’t stop anyone when it matters. Whatever is being taught defensive isn’t translating on the court.

Probably part of it our performance this year and low expectations from last years team. Let’s face it we are not the Louisville of old anymore we are now a has been.

Man, I can’t wait until Saturday to see two powerhouse programs square off against each other!!

Sadly, I was at the DePaul game in Chicago years ago when we got beat by a four point play at the buzzer! Those scars still haven’t healed.
