Looks like we've shot a lot of 3s, but nice burst by this team.. Scored 15 points in 4 minutes entering "the 4th quarter". Gotta like that.

Did I miss....

the HailState app no longer having live game streams available? I see them available on the website, but the new app doesn't appear to have a link.

Turnovers were really the difference

In almost every statistical category it was a draw, but we had way more possessions - because we won the turnover battle 12 - 26, including 14 steals.

Other interesting notes:

6 Bulldogs scored 9 or more points.

Ware went 4 for 4 from the field and grabbed 10 rebounds in only 23 minutes.

Bloodman was 2 of 3 from the field and 7 of 9 from the charity stripe in 11 minutes.

IJ Ready went out with an injury after 24 minutes with a 6/1 assist to turnover ratio with 3 steals, 2 rebounds and no points off of 2 shots.

Thomas, Borchert, and Sword were a combined 47% from 3 (8/17) while the rest of the team was 0 for 6.

I've been told that

You can't get it on the I-Pad because we are not broadcasting these with the utilization of HD cameras. Same for volleyball and soccer for those afficianados

Added depth and more experience should allow the team to play more fundamentally sound basketball and give us a better indication of Ray as a coach. If we can actually get a decent number of assists (we had 170 fewer assists than our opponents last year) and can limit ourselves to a reasonable number of turnovers (we had 145 more than our opponents last year), that alone will mean the difference in some of the closer losses.

Our shooting percentages last year were abysmal, and we will get an improvement. But I think shooting, size, and athleticism are going to be where we will continue to be exposed against most conference opponents. We just don't have the talent in the squad.

Nothing short

of a blowout...I'm talking 30 pts...is acceptable against 17ing Kennesaw State. That is, of course, unless you're in our position, which is why I posted that.
