<div>Considering the very vocal negative response from the public, it's not a stretch to assume that the plan was to actually paint the concept and then judge the public's response. You would think that the designer would have known of an impending road resurfacing. It's not like those projects are just thrown together spur of the moment.
I applaud Jeremiah for trying to do something unique with this project. It may not have have earned too many praises, but he tried something completely unique. A lot of people don't have the balls to do that.
</div><div>The city seems intent on attempting to create some sort of highlited node at the main Cotton District intersection, as they should. What's actually realized, if anything, will now be a contest between public outcry and city co-operation.
</div><div>P.S. If it were my design, I would definately incorporate the University in a featured capacity. But, that's just me.</div>
