These little schools are wreaking havoc. It's going to be really hard to fill out the brackets this March. I hope we're somewhere on the grid when the time comes.

because he has actually proven he can coach and get to a Sweet 16 and Elite 8...not to mention Tennessee is usually ranked under him. "The Recruiter" rarely gets us ranked.

Vandy, Kentucky, UT, and Florida still typically put fairly strong teams on the floor in SEC basketball.

The West is a joke. It's sad when our two perennial bubble teams of the past 4-5 years have become the class of the West most years.

It appears the same this year. I'm not impressed with our team at all, yet I can't realistically put us behind any other SEC West team outside of MSU if adding Sidney and Bost gives you the boost you would expect. LSU is young, and they may come along, but for now they have losses to Nicholls and Coastal Carolina, and they had to fight to pull away from NW State and CMU.

Auburn might be the worst team in the SEC since some of our 1980s and early 90s teams. Maybe Arkansas or Bama will put up a fight too. We sure aren't NCAA bound. If you set the over/under at 1.5 for the number of West teams to go dancing, I would put my mortgage on the under.

I wouldn't be "bet my mortgage confident" but I would definitely take the under.

Georgia is not improved. They have looked horrible in the couple times I have seen them. They would finish third or worst in the west. South Carolina is always a joke

Stans seems to always work some magic to get his team back on the bubble late in the year. This year he gets a boost in talent mid-season to help him work that magic, though it may still be an uphill climb.

We have an outside shot at making a run, but I know Kennedy will do just enough to get us near the bubble but not on the right side of it. To me if it were set at 0.5 it would be a bet on whether or not I thought Stans could get you to an 11 seed in the NCAA or a 1 or 2 seed in the NIT. That's a tough call right now.

Georgia is 6-2 with a double OT loss to #23 Notre Dame and a 3 point loss to #20 Temple...they also have wins over UAB and Ga Tech- how is that horrible? Only a moron doesnt see improvement there

SC is always a joke? Somebody better remind them of that because they have beaten Clempson and only lost to Michigan State. They play Ohio State next- will be interesting to see if they can stay close.

What I find funny is these 2 programs are scheduling quality competition to improve, while we languish playing nobodys in the OOC every damn year.

I would not say to look out for Georgia. They have played all of these games and won by three or less: mvsu, slu, Manhattan, gt. They beat Mississippi VALLEY state by 2. SLU by two. Both games at home. Then they practiced real real hard and beat Manhattan by three. LOOK out for UGANDA national championship contender

If Stans gets us to the Sweet 16 this year, nobody's going to still complain about these 2 bad losses. If he still had an RPI of #7 after a bad loss, people would be cutting him a lot more slack over it. But people remember that 2 bad losses kept us out of the NCAAT last season, and it looks like there may be a very good chance that 2 bad losses this season will keep us out again. And when the bad losses are the difference between making the NCAAT and not making it, then they're even worse than just bad losses, they're just not acceptable.</p>
