I could use a little lay of the land job market intel on the Greenville/Clemson area job market. My wife( a Clemson grad, and 12 year high school biology teacher) and I are in the process of selling our Charleston home and moving up that way. She has already started putting out resumes at the university, tech schools, and area high schools. I am a career food and beverage guy with almost 40 years experience. I have been a chef, and a waiter at some of the best spots in Charleston. If your familiar with Charlestons food scene, I've spent extensive time at Carolinas, Magnolias, Cypress, Hanks Seafood. I will be looking for an AGM or GM position. I also am 3 classes away from a Civil Engineering transfer program, with diffeq, statics, and a physics left, and some construction experience so I'm kind of open though I have doubts about getting hired as a novice engineer at my age. I would appreciate input from this board on restaurants and restaurant groups I should consider when I head up there for R&D on the matter. Thank you all ahead of time for the thoughtful consideration and input.
