Leach was doing it right. I wish he was still our coach in spite of the "rundaball" boys on here. He improved every year.
I would have liked to see what Leach could have done with Sawyer Robertson at QB, a lot of draft analysts are saying he has a good chance to go in the first round of the draft. Seth Davis would have been in the same backfield.

To my original point in this thread, Leach was doing things differently. Props to John Cohen for understanding the need to be different in football here and making that hire. And that’s what it will take here in the future to have a fighting chance, to upset some people, winning records, bowl games ect.

You know what Vanderbilt has that we don't?

A race-baiting, lying, piece of shlt, whoore for an Athletic Director.

I’ve been saying this forever because we’re not far off from Vandy with regards the the rest of the SEC historically. Vanderbilt changed their scheme approach and philosophy. Clark Lea and Tim Beck know in order to have a chance to be successful at Vanderbilt, they have to be different. As do we. Quote from the article

"We dont want to be like everybody else," Beck says. "We don’t want to run the same exact plays as everybody else, we feel like we have to be a little bit different. To turn things around here I think it’s extremely important to be different. Beck has embraced that reality as he's made an effort to overhaul Vanderbilt's offense…”

Most State fans, especially on this board, haven’t embraced the same reality yet. To be different also can include the other side of the ball that has been forgotten as well, along with every aspect of the game.

Not to mention, take advantage schematically as an underdog of the new running clock rule last year. Make the game shorter, limit the other teams possessions ect, give yourself a punchers chance.

Another clown topic by a clown troll

So when Lebby crashes & burns, we go hire an Air-Raid Leach type guy that can bring in a really good DC.

It would take another rebuild, but I think it is what probably will need to happen.

Doubt that happens. Boosters want to rundaball

point is need an unconventional approach. Who knows though maybe boosters wouldn’t have hated leach so much if he had granted them access and given them a scooby snack. He was old school, told them to stay the hell out of the way.

Ethier way, through the air or on the ground, the whole point and idea has to be unconventional, different ect. I will say that with the new running clock rule, on the ground can play to that advantage of shorting the game.
