Then go read the comments section at the end of the story. There are people criticizing him for his actions because somebody could have gotten injured during the assault. Other folks are taking up for the girl saying that the real issue is her being bullyed. We wonder why there are so many problems in our society, these couple of examples tell you alot.

part of the problem with America is people should "do unto others, as they'd have done unto them". AKA don't bully people.

"Here's your ******".

Bullying happened in the 50's. I don't think it's right but no one brought guns to settle the score. You don't shoot someone for bullying you.

it's the psycho *** kids that decide to take things into their owns hands and bring guns onto school buses filled with elementary school kids. That girl should be tried as an adult and sent to prison for a long *** time.

Like Willie Jones told Craig in Friday. "Put that gun down son. Fight witcha hands!"

I think she deserves punishment and whatever Eulls dished out to her. I'm not defending her actions by any means, but my statement on the golden rule still stands in my opinion.

I guess my thoughts deal more directly with some of the videos being released of 6 or 7 people beating the <17> out of 1 person. I would not have one problem lining up the 6, 7, or more and having a firing squad.

for a long time?

That's nuts. How about a short jail sentence and a **** ton of probation in which therapy is required? Everyone wins.

Requiring someone to go to therapy is a waste of time and money. The therapy won't do a damn bit of good unless the person buys into it and does it voluntarily. </p>

the thing is i am not worried about everybody because everybody happens to include the dubmass with the gun on the bus. you can be 100% assured she won't shoot anyone if locked up. what if she were to get out after her short time in prison and during her therapy stint decide that she would rather go out and shoot one of my friend's kids? everyone would be asking "why did they let this crazy ***** out in the first place?" and i would respond with "we were trying to give her a chance like henig"

just because someone stopped it doesn't mean this girl should be given a break.

then a prison sentence won't work either. Once she gets out, she will just shoot people at that time.

And if she's not willing to attend and cooperate at therapy (i.e. put forth a solid effort), than her probation will be revoked and she will go straight to jail.

the rest of society can be assured that she will be taken care of in a timely manner. i'd rather trust steel bars and a shitload of concrete.

Sure, she would definitely get a prison sentence but the girl is 14! My opinion has more to do with her age than what she did.

your mind wouldn't change much if she had massacred that entire busload of kids.

and threaten to kill children. Now, if we find out that the gun wasn't loaded, that's a little different story.

dead people can't kill living people. And you won't have to waste as much money keeping her in the prison system. Before anyone says annything, i know "it costs more to execute a prisoner than to house them for life."

Lock her up for a long time. I don't care how old she is. If she's old enough to bring a gun on the bus and threaten people with it, she's old enough to go to prison. Once she gets out, she'll think twice about pulling a loaded gun on people again, but then again she'll be 40 yrs old. This isn't one of those "kids make mistakes" things. She knew exactly what she was doing.

Just kidding.

I think this girl should be removed from society, but she obviously has deeper problems that someone overlooked. Her parents should probably be doing some jail time as well.

So you want to punish someone because their child did something wrong? That's a horrible precedent. The child pulled the gun, not the parents. Government has no business making laws telling people how to raise their children, and that's essentially what would happen.

Great young man for what he did, hope he comes to campus and can keep it up and play well on the field
