There is nothing about the CWS in this newspaper. Does this represent what the rest of the country thinks about colllege baseball? Also in the Baton Rouge Advocate today there is a backhanded jab at MSU. Rabilais references the MSU Rebel shirts, in a classy way of course.

Aside from the southeast and the west coast

it's a small sport, just look at attendance comparisons. It's just too cold up there to play outdoor college baseball when everyone else does. They have hockey and lacrosse to fill that gap I suppose.

Surprised it's not in the paper today. Haven't looked at USA Today much recently, but they used to cover college sports superbly. Who doesn't remember our USA Today Front Page in the Final Four week? I still have two copies.

Surprised there's no articles about the series, but for the most part, yeah, that is what the country thinks about college baseball. As far as most of them are concerned, it doesn't exist.

Hopefully its because the late game ended after 10 and they're wanting to include all games...I hope that's what it is anyway. They have always covered the CWS and done a great job doing it

Yep. I'd say it is a distant #3 to basketball. Very few watches or pays attention to CBB until the CWS.

Yeah most of the stadiums across the country only hold around 1500 to 2500 people on average. The SEC, ACC, PAC 12, and Texas are really the only places that college baseball matters to the fans. College baseball is still my 2nd favorite sport behind only college football. I must admit that college baseball can be more enjoyable to watch than football in terms of :
-Commercials only between innings
-No flags or official reviews on every other play
-The game aint over till the last out. No clock to worry about
-Fewer chances of injuries to your favorite players
-Tournaments are mostly double elimination. So you get a second chance if you have a bad game.
-The weather is so much nicer, and for the most part, baseball parks are more family friendly in terms of fan behavior
-More games, means more chances to watch your team play
-Most everyone has had a chance to play organized baseball at some level. Fans can better relate to what is happening on the field.
-Baseball parks are very beautiful in my opinion. Ill take Fenway Park over Cowboys Stadium.
