He's not wrong. Thousands have died due to USAID. Thousands have died due to the open border. Where was your voice then and where is your voice now? Every ****** thing the Biden administration did and not do when they should have, you supported it by defending it every time there was criticism of it. Every single time, there you were. We won't even get into the support of Iran and its terrorist network. Dems gave Iran billions. Thousands of deaths have resulted.

This is just a glitch in the democratic system. Their hearts tell them they want to help, they just go about it in such a wrong way that they end up hurting more than they help. Thats exactly what happened with USAID. It got to be so bloated and so filled with pork that it was doing way more harm than good. Same with the open border policy. Intended to help, but hurts so many more than it helps.
How we got to that point should be investigated and it sounds like it will be.

Let me ask you something. Inflation came in very hot this morning. Inflation is a direct result of governement spending. Interest rates are climbing. Equity prices are dropping.
1) should we continue the course we are on?
2) Should we massively increase spending like proposed under the biden admin with BBB?
3) Should we cut spending?
The number one thing we should do, and it's not close, is demand that Trump not give massive tax cuts to the broligarchy and corporate interests. The money they will save by cutting programs that help the common man, pales in comparison to the amount the deficit will increase so the greedy can acquire more wealth. If you really care, that's what you'd be up in arms about, not poor people who received humanitarian aid.

We have a lot of work to do to fix this mess. It's not all democrats fault, but we all are going to have to come up with a solution.
Nobody has a problem with cutting spending as long as it's surgical and thoughtful. But to use a chainsaw instead of a scalpel without a bit of concern about the downstream consequences is sickening and frankly un-American. We are becoming what we've always loathed about other countries.

No, we won't. Even if we cut the entirety of the $40b USAID budget, it would barely be a drop in the bucket of our spending, and honestly I think the benefits outweigh the cons of spending that $40b. I'm curious to see how much DOGE attacks and dismantles defense spending, or if they more or less ignore it all. This $40b of spending in developing countries is pivotal in continuing our place atop the global food chain and keeps the USD strong. As soon as we start pulling out and China/others move in, we're going to lose global influence, and we'll be one step closer to the USD falling from the primary global currency.

Poor people in dying lands should not be the focus of the US Government when our own house is not in order. If we dont help ourselves we will not be able to help them.

When our house is in order, our spending is sustainable, our people are taken care of, there is no more human **** on the streets. Then we can talk about poor people in other countries.
