I wonder what impact this will have on Nathan Smith and the Calabasas kids.

I wonder where all the folks are who would normally say "big time programs do big time things at the drop of a hat" will be on this.

LSU backs away from the ledge altogether. Georgia fires Richt, but maybe looking to make a safe coordinator play in Smart. We hired Riley. USC hires a nobody.

Where are all these AD's who are going to throw $50 million at Kelly and Saban and Patterson and Briles? Supposedly there are a ton of schools out there willing to do what NU won't do, but I'm just not seeing it.

I understand why Georgia did what they did, but I don't like it. Only way I would change my mind on that, is if they have a proven winner lined up who already said yes. If they don't, I think they screwed the pooch.

USC didn't blow anyone's doors off with their hire, and will probably be Hayden's final football hire as he will be out of a job soon.

Not the big name everyone was buzzing about. Discuss.

The players wanted him as did a few key boosters. The way USC beat up UCLA physically had to have a lot to do with the decision too.
USC was like a college team, UCLA like a high school team physically.

Sounds like he is well liked by players, recruits, and Cali High School coaches. I think this probably closes the door on Smith for us.

Clearly Colin Cowturd was on top of "blowing our doors" off with USC's hire......right. What a maroon.

Didn't Cowherd give Nebraska the kiss of death be saying they would beat Iowa? He did the same thing back in 2010 predicting a blowout against Texas. The guy is a bad luck charm when he picks Nebraska.

I don't think he was expecting our QB to throw 4 Interceptions, 1 for a touchdown, and 3 others in field position to set up touchdowns.

I like Colin but this makes him look kinda bad here...I didn't hear his segment, but enough people have spoken about it that I can put the pieces together. Still trying find his new station....

I listened to Clouse's recruiting update. Sounds like Smith closed the door on us based on the cold. Didn't want to make the adjustment among all the other things he'd be going through.
