and has the best record in the Sun Belt West. The three best teams in the SBC are in the East, and USM has already beaten the only one of them they play.

They have an upcoming road game at UL-Lafayette that appears to be their toughest remaining game. If they win that, they will be the frontrunner to play the East champ in the Sun Belt Championship game.

2. You can rebuild quick in the lower level leagues if you have a good coach with decent portal connections.

Well, according to some here, we should be in the Sun Belt so we can be a perennial conference championship contender, so this tracks.

There’s also the group that thinks once the Big Ten-SEC Super Conference forms, we’re going to end up in the Sun Belt anyway.

So might as well celebrate our defacto vicarious Sun Belt championship victory now.
