I’ve already peeked at the 3rd party sites and they are pretty expensive. How hard a ticket is this going to be closer to time? I’m trying to decide if I bite down and pay way too much soon or wait to save some dough. This shouldn’t be a hard ticket but it is the opener and their stadium is small.

There are still a lot of seats available for folks who want to purchase season tickets.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Wednesday.

You should have no problem getting a seat if you’re willing to pay the price…

Which AD scheduled this game? MSU should never play at Hattiesburg in any sport. If USM wants to play MSU, they can come to Starkville. Also I think we have a Football game at Troy and another game in Hattiesburg in the not so distant future.

Cohen…

We play at Troy in ‘27 (last of a home-and-home) and at Southern Miss in ‘30 (start of a home-and-home)

If we are serious about football we will find a way out of those contracts.

Can you imagine Cohen telling Auburn fans they’re headed for a game at Troy?

I thought it was Loafers who scheduled the first two that have already been played. So it must have been Cohen that scheduled these later ones.

Word. I’ll check back Wednesday. Tickets for our game are over $100. For JSU the next week they’re $40 tops. For App State they are $19 tops. I def believe our game we’ll be highest demand just want to make a smart purchase. It will irk me to pay $130 and then see same tickers for $40 later.

I’d be patient on tickets here. It wasn’t even a packed house in 2015 when it was a much more hyped game. I expect prices to drop a good bit as it gets closer to game time. The 11 am start time going to deter a lot of fence sitters.
Exactly.

Also, since it’s an 11 am game, west side seats on the lower deck would be my first option… the closer to the top of the lower deck sections, the better…

They will end soon when SEC goes to 9 game schedule & keeps the 1 P4 OOC mandate. Future OOC schedules will be a G4 buy game & a 1-AA buy game. But for now, they’ve been needed to avoid a lot of costly buy games.

I think Loafers scheduled them as 2-for-1’s. Or maybe that was Byrne.

You'll likely end up in the upper deck which is dang scary. Way to steep IMO. Older folk need to be careful when going down the upper deck steps. One bad trip and you won't stop until you fall into the lower deck.

Unless we improve a lot, N. Illinois could put a dent in our helmets like Toledo did. Huskies have a lot of Big10 talent on their team who came looking for PT. Troy would be very similar with a lot of SEC talent transferring in as Trojans. It wouldn't surprise me at all if we lost both of those games.

I'm not paying $100 a ticket. If I cant get a single game for $50 or less I'll try my luck with scalpers on gameday. If that doesn’t work, I'll go find a bar.
I don’t know how it works now with electronic tickets , but in the old days as you got closer to game time you could always get a decent deal as game time approached from scalpers right outside the stadium. And that was to pretty much any sporting event anywhere.

Wait, What? They banned tailgating for the MSU game? Good lord I hope this is not true.....I will have lost all respect for that University if true....(and I had some)
I was responding to Zombie. He referred to tailgating being banned. I had not heard that.

E tickets (17-ing Hate em) pretty much made buying/selling tickets outside a stadium a thing of the past.

Go through the Mississippi state site. Not great ticket but it's cheaper

Probably why they implemented them. “E money” will be the same, need to make sure the powers that be approve of and know what you are spending your money on. Paper tickets and paper money provide some autonomy.

I got my seats through the Bulldog Club and I was surprised the section is on the USM side section P row 25... I guess they aren't nosebleeds but I didn't want to be in the middle of their fans

Section P has long been part of the visiting team allotment…

You’ll be next to a USM section to your left (Section O)…

The main USM alumni stand is the west side so you may want to bring your sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses.

Aren't tickets only like $40? That's about as cheap as you can get an away ticket. Pull that trigger, son.

Well State fans have one tshirt with a $20 in the pocket. He will have to wait for the bank to open.

I bought mine thru the BDC prior to the priority deadline and they were $60 each. Now when I log in, I see they still have availability and they are $44 each. I assume all that is left is upper deck and thus that's why they're lower now. The seats I got assigned are lower east side, section Q. Gonna be a nice sunny day I'm sure.

oooh ticket assignments are out?

<goes to check>

Hey I'm Section Q also....at least this means we won't be staring AT the sun! Last time, I don't remember the section but we were toward the top of the west side upper deck facing east.

Word of advice (seriously)—

If traveling to & from Hattiesburg via I-59, be prepared for horrible traffic because of construction and you may want to consider alternate routes.

Yesterday afternoon wasn’t normal but…

Road Construction + Mississippi Drivers = 💥

State Farm increased rates by 30 percent when they saw that news story. **
Of course. When the opportunity comes to taking more from the “have nots” in Mississippi, reaction is always swift******

I got an email a few days ago that says we can buy a 4-ticket home game and get a parking pass for $49. I think that was both the Arizona State and the Northern Illinois games. That has nothing to do with us playing at Hattiesburg but the price seems pretty desperate, even though the tickets are probably on the top row of the east side upper deck, and parking a couple miles away, but still ....

I think it said you couldn't continue to tailgate once the game had started, other than a person to watch over belongings.

It appears to be steeper than the lower deck in this picture: https://www.collegegridirons.com/stadiums/roberts-stadium/
Note that there's hardly anyone in the upper deck - or the lower deck either - while the game's going on.
