is such as oxymoron to me. It makes me laugh. I don't know what happened with our baseball over the last 7 years or so, but we used to sweep them every year. It was like a tuesday game.

Lot of USM fans and some UM fans. Good atmosphere...much changed since last time I went. Not MSU by any standard but great atmosphere for midweek game.

If I was USM AD and saw that crowd, I would walk over to basketball coliseum, find Eustacy and fire him. No where near the excitement for basketball as baseball and was a topic among the fans I talked to.

If I was USM pres, I'd find Giannini and fire him. He's Templeton's twin brother.

Any number over that has to sit/stand/pass out in the roost or sit in the picnic area along the RF line. Last night there were people in every nook and cranny. Prior to last night, the record was for an LSU game in 2008. It's a small park in actual size- I'm talking acreage and not capacity. That's why the suites are offset to the 1b side. They would have
overhung the adjacent property if built on the 3b side. They have to fit any addition into a
small space. It makes for an intimate, quirky park.

They're going to replace the current bleachers (which were all of the original seats when the park was built in 1985) with new seating to match up with the dimensions of the grandstand after this season. That should increase potential crowds over 6,000.
