One of the 12 Serious USM boosters just left and said Kenny Payne would be announced tomorrow. How does this affect us?

Somehow I don't see Wes coming to NITChampsburg very often to hang out with 800 people to watch an exciting USM-Tulsa conference battle.

Can't believe we let that Nike contract slip away.

that with the flak coming from the assistant who was a Gianinni person who'd been there for a longer time than Hammond (who's not been in the department for as long-- having been career military (a former general) and is seen as much more of a USM person having played for the Eagles) and is just upset that even though it appears that Hammond is going to get the permanent AD position that he shouldn't be considered the heir apparent (even if he was anointed as such by Rick Cleveland a few months ago).

He's canned a number of folks including ex-players on the AD payroll who either did not show up for work regularly or did not produce much work for pay. Some did not even belong to their Eagle Club which Hammond saw as not owning what you are selling. Told them to hit the pavement. Several unhappy campers down there.

Hammond will do a good job if left alone. Most of the boosters like him from what I am told.
