UT game is huge for the Dawgs

Just sitting here staring at my SEC helmet schedule and if you guys can go into Neyland and beat the Vols (which I think is quite possible with your defense), 6 wins isn't out of the question at all.

I see UK, Ark and OM as winnable games. You'd need to win 2 of those 3, obviously. With UK and Ark both coming to Starkville, I think a win over the Vols could put you in position to go on a little November roll. Call me crazy. Those are my honest thoughts.

The Rebs still have their work cut out for them. But, if they can start taking better care of the football, I think they can easily get to 5 or 6 wins going into Nov. 29. With both teams looking for their 6th or 7th win, the Egg Bowl could actually have some meaning for the first time in years.

Just an outsider's perspective on where your season stands.

...at this point. UK, Ark, and MTSU are the other three we'll need. I've counted out Bama, and all but counted out OM, not because of the matchup on paper, but because of the way this rivalry works with last year and all that. I seriously doubt Nutt would have OM unprepared to play. We need to win Saturday badly. I think it's the difference between 6-6 and 4-8.

...it can not be emphasized enough now big the UT game is.

Conventional wisdom would point to a 10-7 type score, with turnovers & the kicking game dictating the final outcome.

Neither team is going to move the ball...that, of course, plays to MSU's strength.

Win this one & MSU is back in the thick of things are far as making a minor bowl.

Lose it, and we can begin pointing to the Egg Bowl as MSU's "bowl."

to win this weekend.

I'm glad we won this past weekend and believe we have an outsiders shot a 6 wins, but it is still TN and they've got more talent at EVERY position. Good for us their wheels seem to falling off but we will still need quite a bit of luck (non offensive TD) and zero turnovers.

With that, KY front four are pretty good making it hard for us to run. That will be a tough, close game for us. Again, it's at home and our defense really plays well at home, so it's possible.

I think we finally take Ark. down this year.

Bama and Ole Miss- I just don't think we will score the 20 points we need to win each of these games.

capable on defense, especially with their line....I don't know what happened against SC but I've watched them enough to know that they have an abundance of talent and even Bama folks are not comfortable about this weekend....Of course, we can wish for players to get hurt....Ha

but from I saw aGAINST South Carolina, it isn't inconceivable. Ole Miss is their worst enemy when they play.

I also want to beat UT for obvious reasons, but there's another not listed. This is our last shot at Josh McNeil and I would love nothing more than his last effort against MSU being a losing one.

Either we win in a squeaker or
They destroy us

Their defense is still pretty good and have very hard hitters as DB's and play nasty

This game may boil down to who gets the TO's closest to the red zone.

I give us a 50/50 chance at winnign

This game could go either way for State, I think that State can win if they play to win, but unfortunately I feel like this will
be a statement game for the Vols, and State could be looking at a 56-0 whipping.

It doesn't- I just think the game will be low scoring and a Def/SP touchdown could make or break the game.

Plus, Pegues has got to break one at some point.

I say we lose by 10 unless UTenn is in chaos.
UT is in chaos right now. I am listening to sports talk in Knoxville & a reporter with the Knox News Sentinel talked with an unnamed player who said the coaches are in danger of losing the team. The talk in the locker room is coaches may be fired or are afraid they are going to get fired. Apparently some of the old hold overs that worked with Cut don't like the new OC. Reporter after reporter are coming on saying this is the worst situation they have ever seen in years at UT.

UT AD Mike Hamilton is not giving Phil a vote of confidence & says something to the effect something could be done at the end of this season.

There is a poll on the Knox news with 13,000+ votes that has 80% of fans saying they would not retain Fulmer now.

This is a great opportunity for us, if Croom and the boys can take advantage of it.
