The Vols have won their last five games after an off week when facing an opponent ranked outside the top 10.

Haven't I read repeatedly that Dooley's teams have yet to beat a ranked opponent? So what does this mean, exactly?

What does it mean? Either they've beaten unranked teams or lost to teams ranked 10th or higher on weeks after a bye since Dooley took over. None of that really has any bearing on this game though.

I'm not sure either Dooley or Mullen either have beaten a team that finished the season ranked... I know yall beat Florida & Georgia one year, but I don't think they finished up ranked...

09 Ole Miss ended up #20 in AP and #21 in USA Today poll.

Dooley lost to Kentucky... Mullen's worst career loss came to (final) #33 Houston at home in year 1. They were #26 or 27 at the time of the game, after being ranked a couple of weeks before(had an upset loss to someone). Tennessee is currently #39. The only other game that even comes close is @ Auburn last year...

So what? It's a 3 point spread. In poker we would have pocket Queens against their big slick suited. So why is it surprising? In reality, almost half of all unbiased observers should expect TN to win. Whoever executes better and takes care of the ball wins. I like our chances to do that, but its far from guaranteed.

Florida finished the 2010 season ranked after beating Penn State in a bowl.

Out of 5259 votes across the country, 69% currently expect us to win the game(according to sportacular). I'm surprised the gap is that large honestly....

I will never

ever consider that a loss, till the day I die. The refs took that game from us and were obviously being told by CUSA to let Houston win at all cost. That illegal forward pass call told me that.
