I sure hope the women win the Volleyball Championship. I have to have something in the land of cougars and dawgs to hold my head up high.
Did you see the women take care of K-State and the women hoops took down Penn State too? I am giving up on the men. The women play smarter and with more power plus they are a heck of a lot better looking. (I guess I have to say the Men hoops are also playing well)

Right… cuz it’s gone so well the prior 27 times….
Bowl games are so weird these days. Utah being more highly ranked might be to our benefit. Sure we'll be without EJ presumably, but they might be down a few guys as well.

TJ playing in a warm weather environment should help as well. Clearly that California blood still needs hardening.

Gentlemen and Gentleladies:

This is New Years Eve in our fair city, Las Vegas. If you cannot get excited about the opportunity to wash away any post-game despair with Vegas lights, liquor (and ladies if you swing that way) on New Years Eve, then you are looking at this all wrong. Plus if you come here for the bowl game it will help keep us from having to implement a state income tax.

Very truly yours,

Vegas Residents
Vegas on New Years is a non-starter for me. You won’t be able to turn around in the casinos they’ll be so packed.

My wife's mom and one of her brothers lives in North Carolina. About 10 -15 years ago, we went back for Christmas. We like to fly out of Spokane because it is so much easier than SeaTac. No mountain passes, cheaper parking and small airport so it is much easier to use. Anyway, with the 3-hour time change, we thought it might be less crowded coming home Christmas afternoon. The flights were not crowded at all. It just turned-out flying Southwest we got a 3-hour layover in Vegas. I thought that was great because her family had their big dinner on Christmas Eve so we would be hungry by the time we got to Vegas on Christmas day. I thought we would grab a cab and go to the Bellagio or Wynn and go through their buffet. It would be fast and we would get back to the airport in time for our flight. How crowed Vegas could be on Christmas? Well for the usual demographics it was not crowed at all. What I did not think of is Christmas is not a holiday for Asians and East Indians. Vegas was as busy I have seen it. We ended up eating at a small restaurant in one of the casinos that was not very good.
