Seriously, I wish media members wouldn't be allowed at the chicken dinner functions. Those are supposed to be times for the coaches to be loose and open. It's supposed to be a casual setting.
His remark probably shouldn't have been made, but in a casual setting like that, he should be able to make a joke like that. I'd hate for the chicken dinner meetings to have to turn into media days type sessions where all you get is coachspeak.
Same thing with Lane Kiffin and his remarks about Urban Meyer. In that setting, he should be able to make those comments to the fans all in fun to pump up the fanbase, without having to worry about them getting out and creating a media buzz.
