This game would have never been played if it was a real grass and dirt field. But I'm with you. I hate this ****. It isn't real baseball.

How many of Vandy's hits have been awkward infield hits where they were slow rollers. It's definitely hurt us.

They definitely had the odds in their favor with that damn field. I hate artificial surfaces in any sport. They are an unfair advantage in instances like this an lead to injuries

I suppose the home team always can set up the field to their own advantage. Remember how Kentucky used to (and perhaps still do) cut the grass really high to slow the other teams down? And I recall it working to an extent too. 3-4" Bermuda grass can be pretty thick and slick too when wet.

But I'm with you on artificial turf. I don't like it at all, although it looks good to the fans from the seating areas. The new softer stuff is much better than the old, hard-as-concrete AstroTurf though. There is no choice with a permanently closed domed field. And I understand that some NFL teams ... the Packers for one ... have sort of a hybrid where they interweave fake grass in with the natural Bluegrass.

I cannot understand that why don't you are preferring the artificial grass as far as you know about the advantages of artificial grass and you know that it is really need to less maintenance that saves the time.

I don't mind it, but I HATE the fake dirt. Astro-play is very similar to grass, to me, but I seriously hate that fake dirt with a passion. It's going too far. This is baseball.
