I may be wrong, but wouldn't it make more sense that the nets were installed to prevent students from rushing the field again if they were to pull the upset against UT or UT? I cannot imagine that a school would go to the trouble and expense to install netting on only their home sideline to keep opposing fans from throwing stuff on the field.

Did you see the Bama game? The students were the only Vandy fans there. I suspect Texas fans gobbled up all the ticket before the season started just because it was in Nashville. You could be right but I don't know.
