and he said basically that Leerfield Sports pays the Bulldog Foundation for our media rights then the Bulldog Foundation pays the athletic department. Thoughts?

It just seems weird to me that the ath dept isn't paid directly.

...The athletic department has contracts with coaches. Those contracts are relatively small. The Bulldog Foundation has contracts with coaches. Those contracts are relatively large. The Bulldog Foundation needs funds to meet those contracts. It purchases the media rights from the Athletic Department for a meager amount and re-sells them for large amounts. Problem solved.

I have no idea of the inner workings of such things, but I bet I'm close.
