announcers kept claiming USC got a break with a penalty, on them. Even though first the QB was down, second the OL didn't catch it, so no fumble.

It's fumbled into the endzone from the one yard line and recovered and touched first by the fumbler. What is the spot?

After inquiring abotu whether that pass complete or incomplete. I could not believe he said that... possibly one of the dumbest things I have ever heard of all time.</p>

I think they were checking if he fumbled before the end zone because I don't believe the offense can advance the ball on a fumble so it would have been spotted at the 1 despite the offense recovering in the end zone. I can't remember if that rule applies to all downs or just 4th down though.
