....and a win over a team that doesn't count as far as our resume is concerned (North Alabama). So we basically have 8 wins (9 if we can beat WKU), which puts us in a position to need 11 wins to get to 20 and put us on the bubble. And most of the impartial observers on this board know that that is virtual impossibility. Not a lot of talk? Because everybody knows we aren't going dancing and nobody gives a **** about the NIT being the best we can do this year.

...but you are complaining about the lack of excitement over the win. I was just telling you why nobody is excited. If we had won that game to get to win number, say, 11 or 12, people would be excited. Nobody has watched this team thinks we can go 11-5 or 12-4 in the conference. Thus, no discussion. No excitement.
Oh and I post because I am a State fan and enjoy discussing MSU sports, good or bad. Like most people here. You're in the wrong place if you expect people to get excited about a blowout win over a CUSA team a few days after playing like **** and losing at home to freaking San Diego.

improving and quit worrying about whether they can get to the bubble or not. It is the process that I enjoy following and not only the end result. We have talent and took a big step against a team that is a lot better than you just made them out to be. If we keep improving the results will take care of themselves. I happen to be one who believes this team can win 9 or 10 in a down SEC this year. That likely won't get us in the NCAAs, but I'll enjoy it if they do it, rather than calling for the head of a successful coach and bitchin after a good win.
how well they played considering all the negative talk. Not great, but looked good in spurts. Looks like a young team that has potential and will improve as the year wears on. Hopefully they will at least make the NIT. The big dance will have to wait another year.
