Ah yea, that Gonzaga-Centreville game was on ESPN wasnt it? I remember watching it at Glory Days over in Fairfax back when I lived over that way. I'm in Wakefield territory now.. which means that while the football is average, the lacrosse is downright awful. DeMatha vs. Saint Frances Academy would be another good one.

My wife swears by that Super Pollo place over in Ballston, so we might have to switch over to them while Edy's is being rebuilt.
I believe it was on ESPN. Pretty good talent on both teams, but Gonzaga's depth and size was too much. Student fan support was great for both teams. I think we could see Dematha vs St. Frances soon, but St. Frances has limited options in the region. There has been bad blood between the St. Frances coaching staff and at least St. John's.

Super Pollo is a good alternative and there are quite a few mom and pop shops that have opened up.

That's good to know. Imagine thinking you were scheduling one or the other, and the other shows up lol
I agree with everything he said except Martinsburg being able to compete Highland Springs. It’ll be ugly in Martinsburg IF they play this year. Highland Springs will be on another level this year.

Yea I'm hoping he misread and thought I was talking about Wise Central. Wise Central travelling up to Martinsburg would be quite a hike and, no offense to the Warriors, quite a butt whipping. I think Henry Wise vs. Martinsburg is not a stretch competitively though it sounds like Highland Springs may be. I hope that game gets to be played. Is it in Martinsburg?

I'd like to see some sort of Mid-Atlantic region or national conference for schools like DeMatha and Saint Frances to get in to. Playoff system against other top notch programs across the nation instead of just using rankings for a national title.

Statewide mask mandate inside public buildings taking effect this Friday.

I just developed an undisclosed medical condition and will be unable to wear them. Darn. I'd advise others to self-check and see if they too might have possibly developed a medical condition.

I checked but all I found were these things called testicles which enables me to be a man and not need to lie about a medical condition to the 17 year old at the grocery store.

Are you sure you have a pair? Seems like your beloved governor and political party neutered you many years ago.

Yea, I do, which again is why I don't need to lie to people about my personal choices, I can stand up like a man and accept what happens. You're literally on here bragging about wanting to fake a medical condition and lie to people at the grocery store because you lack the ability to just do something and accept the consequences. You gonna cry on Facebook if a store turns you away, Karen?

"Just do something and accept the consequences".. yea, sure whatever. You do you, bro.

I encourage any of the box stores to turn me away as I will then look into possible lawsuits. I wholeheartedly encourage them to ask what exactly my medical condition is. I would never do that to any mom 'n pop shops, but Target? Wal Mart? Heck yea.

And besides, how dare you question me about my medical condition and then to have the gall to say I'm making it up? All I'm trying to do is encourage others to make sure that they too, do not have any pre-existing medical conditions. And see, my tips allowed you to finally figure out that you had balls. Congrats.

Yes, that's literally what being an adult is about: making decisions and taking responsibility for them, not lying because you can't handle hearing something you don't want to hear.

Good luck with your lawsuits, Karen. Be sure to hold the phone horizontally and not vertically when you record it for all your friends on Facebook, there's truly nothing worse than someone who films in portrait.

Speaking of Karens.. I had my first run in with one of the Covidiot Karens yesterday.

My family and I went over to our favorite local park, Green Spring Gardens, to enjoy the weather and see the ducks. My 9 year old son loves wildlife and so do I. Anyway, he got ahead of us as we left our vehicle and this ***** snarled something at him because she didnt see me on the other side of the vehicle. What was his great crime? He was carrying a football.. let this sink in folks. So I stepped around, and said "Ma'am, what did you say?". And she tried to ignore me. So I raised my voice and asked again. "He's not supposed to have a foot-" Ma'am, mind your own business. "This is public pr-" Ma'am, go F*ck yourself. Mind you, her little effeminate husband was hiding behind her the entire time. And what did they do when I told her that? Scurried the other way of course. Minding your own damn business, something the REAL Karens, you leftists, should try sometime. That is all.

Speaking of lying, it's a positive but also a shame that Twitter finally starting adding Fact Checks to Trump's tweets and it took this long. All the Karens, Chads, and Cleetuses will be out in full force about it though.

I’ve also wondered about the Governor’s order allowing your medical condition or trouble breathing to exempt you from a mask . No requirement for a doctors note or proof required. I guess just your word . Eating and drinking you can take the mask off (duh!!!) but you need to wear in/out and to go piss in a restaurant. Now this is now really getting stupid. But it’s Northam. He also gave no timeline- it’s until it’s safe (really dumb answer) to end masks. He also seemed very non committal about schools opening this fall and phase 2 on Saturday , a whole 3 more days. No politics allowed but he is an idiot.

We were all having a great conversation about parts of various states, living expenses and about football in general and here come these two guys to steer the conversation back over to politics and ultimately get it locked. It's clear that outside of that stuff, neither of these guys have any social skills at all. At any time either one could have joined in for a talk about FOOTBALL or life in general and neither could do it.

My apologies, if someone engages me on here, I do respond and I do enjoy discussing this stuff but I'm tired of being partly responsible for getting threads locked. What happened to my family and I yesterday pissed me off to no end. I had warned both of them previously to start expecting this type of thing and sure enough, the crime of carrying a football was what started it. Disgusting.

I had hoped I would never have to stand up and butt heads with anyone. A Karen-aged white woman of course.

About Northam, he's getting his marching orders from someone else. And you'll never see Phase 2 as long as the states are allowed to keep making their own decisions on this.

Be grateful that some restaurants will open inside at all. Many will just keep doing takeout for a while, the smart thing. But you can't call him an idiot when Trump makes him look like Einstein. And these things change by the day, he'll have better answers probably Thursday. And this is coming from someone who isn't a Northam fan, but it's going to be a lose-lose situation for him no matter what he says. Obviously can't please everyone.

Life sure is tough, isn't it? Let me know how lying to teenagers at grocery stores because you're too scared to say "I'm not wearing a mask" goes, Karen.

Like, nobody here cares about your phony apologies on this messageboard, not sure why you're even trying. I'm not making fun of you for not wearing a mask, I'm making fun of you because you're too much of a coward to just go into a store and when they ask you simply say "I'm not wearing a mask, is that a problem?" and go from there and if you have to shop somewhere else then so be it. Those are private businesses, they get to decide what is and isn't acceptable for their patrons and you get to decide whether you can handle their rules or not and if you can't then you get the freedom to shop elsewhere. But you can't handle being told "no" ever in your life so you're prepared to lie about a medical condition because being told "no" will shake your ego to its core and you can't accept that possibility.

You people have literally spent the last 4 years crying about the presidential election and you're seriously going to lecture me about ego issues?

The rest of what you say is ******** also as your beloved hero Northam mandated this mask thing. But because he is so despised by the cops and most of Virginia he is going to have the VDH enforce it. And enforce it they will. These businesses cannot afford to lose more money than what they already have and they certainly cannot afford to get shut down for good. So I do not blame them, I'd abide as well if I were a business. But, I'm giving both the business and people a very easy, sensible out here. Oh, this customer has medical issues so we let them in, and no we cannot by law ask for proof. Simple.

And lets face it, thats what is really getting under your and the other clowns skin. The fact that your silly, childish, POINTLESS (why didnt this spineless idiot mandate this to begin with?) rules are going to get busted up by people like myself. You want to have your cake and eat it too. The way of a leftist. Enjoy this while it lasts.

And no, life wasnt tough on me yesterday. Life was tough on those two little leftist cowards after they saw the desire to break their necks in my eyes. Once again, typical leftists. Trying to bully kids and when the big dog steps in they whimper off into the distance.

Highland Springs may give DeMatha a good run. I doubt any team in Virginia could give the Stags an L, BUT, Highland Springs would be Virginia’s best bet. If Highland Springs had a RB like TreVeyon Henderson or Malik Newton, I believe they’d be a top 10 team in America. Bugg Jones is a hell of a player who would make them elite if they use him at RB. He’s got offers from Notre Dame, Carolina, West Virginia, Maryland, etc.

Hate to bring skeletons out of the closet, but I remember you whining about how the West Point-Altavista game back in 2009 should be "replayed" because it was too cold and wet for the Pointers to be playing. Thats the true definition of a snowflake.

All I said was as long as the governors made the rules we can expect these type of decisions. And what I'm getting at is once some of these cases challenging the lockdowns that are being tossed around end up before the Supreme Court, what happens? If the DOJ gets involved, will these lockdowns end? Nowhere am I demanding Trump to step in as you so quickly assumed. Though he did the other day to stand up for first amendment rights for everyone.

It is nice to see you leftists gain a respect for the concept of states rights. I recall for 8 years+ you folks were demanding the dismantling of them. I guess as long as they benefit your agendas its all good.

Well I'd personally love to see him end up at Notre Dame but I hope he excels wherever he ends up going.

For now we will just have to keep our fingers and toes crossed that there is a season and we get to see the Martinsburg-Highland Springs game. Martinsburg surprised me last year with how they manhandled Salem, and I watched how they just knocked everyone else around. But the Springers are, as you say, on a different level and I will be interested to see how these two match up.

You can lie all you want. You wanted the game moved to Amherst because it was sooo muddy. But hey, we're talking about the same school that basically forfeited their next playoff game vs. Altavista in 2014.

If you are more conservative that is fine with me. I never claimed to be one to begin with, I just despise far leftists/socialists with an absolute passion at this point. And yes, I will be voting republican for the time being just to get as many democrats out of power as possible. After that I'll reevaluate, as I suspect most people will. I'm sorry that standing up to leftists who weren't brave enough to speak to me and instead thought they could jump on my son over carrying a damn football triggers your little sensitive feelings, real Mr. Snowflake. Also, I never threatened her, just told her to go F*ck herself. Her husband was free to stand up and do something, but he cowered away. And perhaps they'll mind their own damn business from now on.

If/when you make it up this way, hit me up. My friends and I used to drive all over the creation in western Virginia and West Virginia watching games. When I moved up here I lost all of that and it is sorely missed.

@iDidntGetBanned Speaking of DC schools. I wish the school system would get their act together.

No wonder the kids do whatever they can to get into the private schools and with the rise of Friendship Collegiate it just adds one more option to get out. But the amount of talent that walks the halls of those public schools in DC is crazy. I'd love to see them rise to prominence again. Did you know that way back in the 50's and 60's there was a championship game every year between the public school champ and the catholic school champ? I believe they'd usually put anywhere from 30,000 to 40,000 fans in the stands. This was before the private schools went into overdrive on recruiting of course but a fascinating part of DC's history.

I don’t doubt some parent from WP posted what you say, but it wasn’t me for sure. Weird that you feel so certain it was me, like we have any sort of history. Pretty easy to sort all my posts by date. I’m not sure I posted even once on this board in 2009. I know for certain I wasn’t even aware of WP football’s playoff situation that year. I was in year 3 of my career and knee-deep in turning around my own program.

It’s ok to admit you’re wrong every once in a while. The dementia probably won’t let you. I get it.

They still do that for basketball in DC! A few years ago, they played it in Verizon Center and they now play it at GW. They played something at Georgetown as well. It’s so much talent there and in PG County, it’s wild! I gotta watch KD’s documentary. From a competitive standpoint, the 757 is the only area that is close to that kind of play on the basketball court. Those guys play every game like it’s their last. We have a few teams in the 804 who does as well, but not like those 2 areas.

If I'm old then you're no spring chicken either, brother.

If it wasnt you, then please accept my sincere and deepest heartfelt apologies. And considering you started an entire thread on this board complaining about my opinions and how they should be removed. For what? I've said nothing that would offend anyone other than the most far leftist amongst us. I questioned the use of vaccines and that hurt your feelings.

And once again, Mr. Conservative, mind your own damn business. Had my son done anything wrong he would have had to deal with me, just as I expect other parents to do the same. But carrying a football was enough for some ***** to run her mouth and I shut that mouth up. As a coach I cant believe you agree with them. But you do you.

I think I've said all I can say on the subject. As most realize, this governor is a tyrant. He is getting his marching orders from someone else...Hmm. I wonder who?

I've given those who are interested an easy and legal way out of this mask mandate. If anyone tries to force you to say what your medical condition is, record it. You'll make some money as that is illegal. But please, do not burden the mom n pop shops as they're already struggling far too much thanks to Ralphie. Show 100% respect and kindness to the workers as this is not their fault either.

If you have a small business being affected by this and can afford it, sue. Band together with other small businesses and sue if need be. You'll lose at the local level guaranteed. But at the state level you have a much better chance of success. If it has to go to the federal level then so be it, you WILL win there. And that would more than likely lift the lockdown for everyone. Once again, that would take multiple businesses banding together.

I hope the rest of the state gets to move to Phase 2 this weekend. But as you can already see, he gives with one hand (Phase 1) and takes with the other (mandating masks).. so who knows what Phase 2 and 3 will even look like if we ever get there. And I question that since he seems to just mumble his way through everything he does and says.
