I long ago stopped expecting coaches to say anything in these type of settings.“Everything” he said.?
He didn’t really say anything
True, it’s all “coach speak”, but without raising a firestorm the most honest comment from a head coach was made by Chris Ash at BIG media days a few years ago. He said “I was 1 and 11 last year, no one wants to hear what I have to say”.I long ago stopped expecting coaches to say anything in these type of settings.
Schianoisms, always give people food for thought! LOL!Interesting quote by Greg regarding 18-22 being the most critical stage of development except for infancy. I'm not sure of the validity, but something to think about.
Uhm Coach, Were paying you $ 4 million a year. If we start hearing complaints you will lose the room.On returning after 8 years:
"So we had to really rebuild a lot of the things, whether it's medical coverage, the way the players ate, nutrition, training, all that. You know what, I didn't complain at all because you know when you're taking a job what has to get done."
So, apparently, even the food sucked while he was gone.
No one wanted to hear what he had to say or watch his teams playTrue, it’s all “coach speak”, but without raising a firestorm the most honest comment from a head coach was made by Chris Ash at BIG media days a few years ago. This is a fascinating quote :
So I'm excited. I enjoy going to work every day. I enjoy being with him. He's just a true professional. Thank God we have him, right? Because my job has changed so much just in the last year. Between Kirk Ciarrocca and Joe Harasymiak, our two coordinators, I couldn't be more pleased. It's the best staff I've been on my whole career.
Again, thank goodness, because a lot of my time now is spent on NIL and those type of things that have very little to do with offense or defense. If they weren't there, I don't know what would give. So I'm very appreciative and fortunate and blessed to have them in our program.
