Thanks for posting that interview with Per. It's worth the ten minutes to watch it. The program has come a long way in the time he has been here. <div>
</div><div>He mentioned that we have three seniors leading the way. A quick check of the roster shows that four of the nine players on the roster are seniors. </div><div>
</div><div>In trying to figure out who we have coming in next year, I didn't find anything on tennis recruiting. It occurred to me that tennis does weird stuff like having people come over from Europe at mid-year to join the team. Not sure why - maybe it's because they have different school years.</div><div>
</div><div>Can anybody say what we have coming next year? Should be an attractive program that could get some players.</div><div>
Thanks,</div><div>LM</div><div>

and host a regional. I will be there, and the only other time I've gone to watch other people play tennis was at that pro tourney Memphis has. A buddy of mine that's into tennis gave me a free ticket and bought my beer which was the only reason I attended that, but I'm actually getting interested in what coach Nilsson has going on. I still probably would have never opened this thread, but hockey and tennis are more interesting to me right now then everybody's take on the 17in coaching search.

I think it would be awesome to get a big crowd out for that if we keep it up.

Because you don't have to get quiet and sit down. Like Nilsson says, they want the crowd to get into it with chants and cheering and such. It's more like Davis Cup tennis in other countries, if you've seen that. I didn't know we host the SECT this year- I'll have to plan on going to that.

Like he said, you still have to be respectful of the opponent. That basically means don't taunt them for bad shots and don't do things like yelling every time they toss the ball on a serve. Other than that, there is play going on on multiple courts, so the players have to cope with crowd noise during points. So get into it.
