Virginia Tech and NCSU to SEC

If Miami, FSU, and Clemson all go to the Big 12, the ACC is done. Surely the SEC would invite North Carolina before settling for NCSU, right?<div>

I could easily see the SEC going to 16 teams. Hell, the NCAA would love to see all these conferences get larger with championship games I would think. Not sure on who would get invited. VT for sure.

Saw the thread below about the Big 12 trying to get FSU. They seem like a natural fit for the SEC, but obviously a big part of expansion is the cash involved and we already have a team in the state of Florida. I figured Va Tech would be our #1 target even before A&M and Mizzou joined, so that makes sense.

Florida State and Clemson would have been EXCELLENT fits for the SEC. And, the right fits. You don't build a quality product by looking at dollar signs and TV revenue. You build a quality product by building a quality product. Do that and the money takes care of itself. <div>

You get a quality team first that will fit into what the SEC is really all about, no matter the state. I don't think Mike Slive gets that.</div>

I've been saying this whole time that Virginia Tech and NCSU would probably be the more likely choices out of the ACC. It's not like the SEC needs to get power houses anyway. You'd probably hurt your post season play if the conference got too top heavy anyway.<div id="LCS_336D0C35_8A85_403a_B9D2_65C292C39087_communicationDiv"></div>

If both have a landing place, I'm not sure they'll care. Also, I think that was VaTech taht was going to get left behind then. I'm sure UVA is just as strong if not stronger in politics, and if will probably be the same, but UVA certainly doesn't seem to care about sports as much, so maybe they won't spend the political capital to block va tech from moving.
is a great city. I'd rather get UNC but I sense a little bit of the same mindset Texas has from UNC. 17 em. NCSU is a great addition imo. I'd prefer FSU over VTech. I know they are in the same state as UF but it's FSU. It's a lot more fun traveling to Tallahasee than Blacksburg. They have a top 10 all-time football program and they are excellent in baseball and a pretty good basketball program. Just my preference but I'd rather have 2 out of these 3 UNC, NCSU, FSU.
