Unfortunate but Childress and Afari are probably the starters anyway. Also, VT had some very good games/moments. But, he also seemingly played on the ragged edge way too often and either received dumb PF flags or was very, very close many times. Always was worried about him keeping his cool and not costing us a game with a dumb PF penalty. Way too much woofing and trash talking for my taste.

Wow, he gets well and gets kicked off the team. He would hit you and I loved his aggressiveness but he was kind of a loose cannon from some things I’ve read about him. After being here for a couple of years why do you want to do something you know will get you the boot?

If you can’t follow the rules you gotta go. This guy was a troublemaker from day 1. Doesn’t deserve to wear the colors.

Hate to see any kid go the wrong direction, but at least that opens up a spot on the roster for another transfer if they there is anyone out there that they think could help them.

Is he off the team? Fake news? Real news? Don’t see anything about it here.

For some reason this thread wasn’t showing up on my front page and I started another Vito thread. Not surprised. Let’s not pretend this guy has been a model citizen.

Looks like there is a thread on this that wasn’t showing up on my front page for some reason

Yep had the same thoughts. Addition by subtraction IMO. Think we underestimated how much discipline and chemistry mean to a team, I know I have in the past.

Love CMS. Players coach, but you best not cross a line with him or it's by by.
Agree with this. Stoops is seen by some rival fans as too lenient, but he’s just a great dude that doesn’t want one mistake to derail a kid’s life. He’s given plenty of second chances (some public and probably plenty more privately). Alex Montgomery’s career was over due to injury & instead of letting him go down a bad path without a lot of support (outside of his grandparents) he looked after him like a son. That goes to show you Stoops loves these kids, but he isn’t a pushover either. He isn’t going to let someone make a fool of him & like you said I think there’s a line that once you cross it he isn’t going to put up with it anymore.
