I felt like VJ should have got a little more clock last night. Nobody was defending and we could have used his defense. We need him if we’re gonna make the NCAA tourney.

Agreed. Jordan was having a bad game and both our bigs and theirs were in foul trouble. I thought it couldn't have hurt.

The reason UofL lost the game last night was because of turnovers. 18 turnovers. This team must take better care of the basketball if they want to win especially on the road.

Tough loss and frankly it was a game the Cards should have won. Could VJ have made a difference? IDK. I want him to succeed because he seems to have the talent, but I'm not convinced he has what it takes between the ears.

Lots of carelessness. Yeah, if King and Perry don't come around,we won't be dancing. I do see something in VJ the last couple games We haven't seen. He hasn't quit.

I'll go a step further and risk ridicule. I'd start him at SG and give him 25 + MPG.

Yep, as crazy as it sounds. I think this is the right move. If it’s not starting, he at least has to get more minutes (20+).

I have been one of VJ’s toughest critics purely out of frustration as it’s obvious he is not playing up to his potential.

You hate to put pressure on one guy but if he does not come around along with Perry this team may very well not make the tournament. It’s possible they miss the tourney with these two guys playing better.

I've seen a willingness to fight that he has not always shown. Hell,we need his defense, his rebounding and his ability to get over and protect the rim.

CM has tried Perry and Mchahon for offense and Fore for defense... I agree that maybe it’s time to give VJ a shot at the 2. The thing is if there’s enough ball to go around with Nwora and CC.

Mack's doing the right thing with VJ. He's a role player at best with a role that has diminishing value.

I hope VJ's doing well in school...

I'm rooting for VJ, but the team already seems to have questionable skill handling the ball, especially when against the press. See last night for an example. And Kings handles are still pretty bad.
I'd worry about them turning the ball over even more with VJ playing extended minutes at 2G.

Actually what I saw when Pitt pressed, was Sutton and Nwora interchangeably bringing it up with CC. Since those two would still be on the court, VJ wouldn’t need to handle the ball nearly as much as a typical 2 guard.

That's true. Though having Nwora in that situation made me nervous as heck and they had a costly late TO bringing the ball up that way.

I was just thinking that adding King to that situation would only add another shaky ball handler to the equation. Nwora could pass to CC or Ryan last night but don't know how much good King would do. But King would add some size to the back court when needed. It's worth a try.

Folks VJ is what he is a role player. The game moves way too fast for him at this level. He was in the game then let a Pitt guy go right by him late in the clock and never came back in. He is slow laterally, not a explosive jumper and can only go right. He doesn't process the game fast enough either on defense or offense. This is who he is that doesn't mean he isn't a good player he just isn't good enough at the level.

We will see against UNC that their guards are just too big against Perry, Fore and McMahon, hence VJ. It’s my opinion why we have struggled against UK as they tend to have bigger guards. Now having a guard like Russ could offset that but we don’t have that.
