Volleyball gets #1 seed

I am shocked also. I was fully expecting a #5-8 seed after the 3-1 loss at Stanford.
I guess they looked at the very high quality of the Cards losses. All 5 losses to teams in top 5 rank.
When you examined the SOS, and the number of wins against top 12 teams, combined with 2 of the 5 losses were to #1 overall seed PITT ……. Katie George explained it perfectly …… the Committee compared the performance described above against all of the other candidates and it was evident that UL was the most deserving of the 4th #1 seed. In truth, it was not even close when matched against Creighton or Stanford.
#1 SOS and rated in top 4 most of the entire season is difficult to argue their deserving a top seed.
