We'll find out tonight who Louisville Volleyball will start their NCAA run against. The NCAA Selection Show is at 7:30p.m. on ESPNU.

The NCAA likes to stay pretty close to RPI rankings for volleyball, giving that measuring device more emphasis than the AVCA coaches poll. Most years the difference between the two isn't much. This year, however, there are some pretty big differences between them at the top. The listings below haven't been updated yet for the past week of matches, so this is only accurate through matches up to November 20th. Matches in the past week may see some changes in these rankings

  3. Stanford

  5. Wisconsin

Sonja please confirm, UL is at least Co ACC Champs. Also gets the NCAA auto bid for the ACC by virtue of the Tie Breaker over Pitt. I look for the Cards so snag the #2 overall seed. TX will get the #1 seed, Stanford gets #3, and WI gets the #4 seed. IMO.

UofL is a #1 seed. IDK what they are overall - doesn’t matter really all the 1s and 2s are tough.

Confirmed on Co-ACC Champs and tie breaker. Not sure on overall seeds rankings.

UL Women deserve a lot of credit for their regular season and ACC performance. Identified as the #2 overall selection speaks volumes for this staff, program, players and fans.

I cannot help but go back to that critical 3-0 match over Pitt where the two TV analyst minimized UL‘s placements in the top 6 seeding. The level of unobjective bias in this sport is unfortunate, as I suspect it does affect the selection process for some schools.
