Bingo, why such a push back if it’s something that could easily be implemented? Are they afraid to refuse certain people being able to vote?I think the faith is disturbed by resistance to something widely supported and easily implemented.
Haha, so you can’t wait a little bit because you’re too important. I’d think doing something like voting, a right an American citizen has, would be worth the wait. Be proud you can wait in line and vote, many before you didn’t have that right.I don’t want to wait in line to vote ever again.
Mail in voting is the way to go.
I vote by mail.Haha, so you can’t wait a little bit because you’re too important. I’d think doing something like voting, a right an American citizen has, would be worth the wait. Be proud you can wait in line and vote, many before you didn’t have that right.
I’m not sure how this world has become full of people like yourself that are too important. Do you wait in lines at sporting events, amusement parks, public restrooms, at the cafeteria, and so on? Or do you tell them that you are Rockymtnole, I’m too important for a line, now bow before me.
if you think your above waiting in line, I’d personally say take your vote away, you think your above everyone/everything else and you’ll most likely vote the same way.
Flying is not a constitution right. Driving is not a constitutional right. Drinking alcohol is not a constitutional right. This has been explained ad nauseum and yet these dumb comparison's are still used. You can think voter ID should be required and not use dumb arguments. I assume you are fully on board with making people who want to buy a gun take a test, fully register, have states create laws that say you have to get that registered gun serviced every year from an authorized gun servicer? Those are all things that happen with cars and driving. Also assume you're good with places not allowing guns to be used or sold on Sunday like with alcohol?Bingo, why such a push back if it’s something that could easily be implemented? Are they afraid to refuse certain people being able to vote?
As far as I know, police don’t have an issue giving people tickets for not have an ID with them if they get pulled over. Bar tenders have no issue not serving people without an ID. People have no problem refusing you being able to get on a plane without proper ID. But voting, who cares! It’s not like important decisions are made by the person voted into office.
you think people should lose the right to vote....because they like and utilize a convenient, safe, and secure way to vote?Haha, so you can’t wait a little bit because you’re too important. I’d think doing something like voting, a right an American citizen has, would be worth the wait. Be proud you can wait in line and vote, many before you didn’t have that right.

I’ve voted for things plenty of times online can’t say I’ve loved any of them. I have enjoyed displaying my American rights by going to a polling station and voting. Gives a lot of pride of being an American.I vote by mail.
You’d love it.
At this point a lot of Americans believe it's important to release the Epstein files, get out of Iran, worry less about ball rooms, and more about prices for average Americans, stop masked goons from shooting people in the streets... You guys are the only ones screaming about faith in election results. My advice to you is stay home.At this juncture I think it's important that steps are taken to ensure that the public has faith in our election results.
We don’t have polling places, all by mail.I’ve voted for things plenty of times online can’t say I’ve loved any of them. I have enjoyed displaying my American rights by going to a polling station and voting. Gives a lot of pride of being an American.
Haha, it cracks me up that so many of you think this is still the same United States as it was when the constitution was created in 1787.Flying is not a constitution right. Driving is not a constitutional right. Drinking alcohol is not a constitutional right. This has been explained ad nauseum and yet these dumb comparison's are still used. If congress would get behind a census like voter drive organization to get each and every person a voter ID, and moving forward they would always be free, and would happen automatically when people turn 18 like being registered for the draft will be, thus removing all the barriers and poll taxes, I would be on board.
I don't think any of that was part of my arguments. So that's fun.Haha, it cracks me up that so many of you think this is still the same United States as it was when the constitution was created in 1787.
Did voters vote by mail back then? They probably used a computer to count all the votes too. Did women vote back then? How about blacks? What happened to these people or the people helping them vote if they did vote? Pretty sure they were severely beaten or worse.
Was murder allowed under the constitution during that time? Or maybe we should revert back to those times and beat the crap out of anyone voting illegally and let them suffer on the streets until they die.
Maybe it’s time to change the constitution and require an ID to vote. Maybe catch up to everything else the requires an ID to prove you are who you say you are.
oh and I couldn’t care less what you do about guns. I think I have a BB gun stashed away somewhere.
Correct, which is why states can pass laws concerning them. They aren't a right. This really isn't difficult. How would picture IDs work in 1787?
There is also nothing in the Constitution about planes, trains, and automobiles!
Exactly. The GOP fully understands that MAGA does not think deeply, so they can gloss over critical details when making their case. But to actual pass bipartisan legislation the details matter. To actually implement a system the details matter. And the details on this topic suck. The polling isn't accurate.
If the questions were more accurate would be "should the federal government require eligible voters to deal an increased burden of proof such as passports and birth certificates to register to vote?"
"Should eligible women voters that have a married name that doesn't match their birth certificate be allowed to vote?"
"Should the federal government be allowed to randomly challenge or purge voter rolls and force registered voters to once again prove their identity to register to vote?"
"Should states be mandated to alert voters they have been removed from voter rolls?"
"Should maili-in ballots be allowed?"
"Should the USPS be made to slow or block the delivery of ballots before the 2026 midterms?"

It‘s a good thing they don’t control the White House or we might end up in a war with Iran because they didn’t think through the details of what Iran would do to oil shipments. Can you imagine?
Not a hoax. This would be a good time to remind everyone of the Russian collusion hoax, invented by the left and pushed by a complicit media. Election denying at its finest.
Yes, I recognize erecting more obstacles is the GOP’s goal here.
they feed into the false narrative that our elections are not secure. We've all noticed that you refuse to answer the question posed about if your belief our elections are tainted is based on actual facts or a steady dose of Fox News. How do voter integrity measures make things worse?
speaking of denying, I can't wait to see Northern's response to this. Something something tan suit. Email server.Reminder of convictions and plea deal related to hoax.
Why does the TSA require, not only an ID, but a Real ID, for me to get through security? What widespread problem does that solve? Same question for needing an ID to enter a federal building.![]()
The Heritage Foundation's Election Fraud Map
The Heritage Foundation's Election Fraud Map is an interactive tool providing a sampling of proven instances of election fraud across the U.S. From @HeritageDatavizelectionfraud.heritage.org
I'm not necessrily opposed to voter ID. It's just always seemed like we're treating it as the solution to an epidemic the evidence doesn't really show exists. Sure, fraud happens. But "fraud exists" and "fraud is widespread enough to affect national elections" are two very different claims...Trump's claims have yet to be supported.
In Georgia, we have to include a copy of our driver's license to vote by mail. You don't where you live?Vote by mail
Does your drivers license say you are a U.S. citizen? Mine does not.Why does the TSA require, not only an ID, but a Real ID, for me ti get through security? What widespread problem does that solve? Same question for needing an ID to enter a federal building.
The response is that people without an ID have to fill out a form to vote under penalty of perjury. Get back to me when anyone is even checked to see if they committed perjury, much less prosecuted.
I'm assuming yoru asking why do TSA and federal buildings require ID even though terrorism is rare?? If so, then those are security screenings for access to secure transportation or federal facilities. Voting is different. It's the exercise of a constitutional right. Why does the TSA require, not only an ID, but a Real ID, for me ti get through security? What widespread problem does that solve? Same question for needing an ID to enter a federal building.
If there is evidence those affidavits aren't being verified or investigated when there's probable cause, then improve enforcement. That's still different from saying there's widespread fraud that's altered national election outcomes. The response is that people without an ID have to fill out a form to vote under penalty of perjury. Get back to me when anyone is even checked to see if they committed perjury, much less prosecuted.
Nope. Every election is mail only. Registered voters receive a ballot in the mail and return it by mail or drop off ballot box. Easy peasy. In Georgia, we have to include a copy of our driver's license to vote by mail. You don't where you live?
I live in Florida. I have a Real ID. I had to prove I was a US citizen when I got my current Florida license. Florida doesn't let illegals vote in any election.Does your drivers license say you are a U.S. citizen? Mine does not.
So Florida doesn't allow non-citizens to vote. Neither does federal law. Which state are you referring to that allows illegal immigrants to vote in state or federal elections?I live in Florida. I have a Real ID. I had to prove I was a US citizen when I got my current Florida license. Florida doesn't let illegals vote in any election.
Tell me the section of the Constitution or Amendments that say voting is an absolute right.I'm assuming yoru asking why do TSA and federal buildings require ID even though terrorism is rare?? If so, then those are security screenings for access to secure transportation or federal facilities. Voting is different. It's the exercise of a constitutional right.
Also, IMO TSA wasn't created because terrorism was statistically common...it was created because the potential consequences of a successful attack are extraordinarily high (see 9/11). Wouldn't you say that's a different risk calculation than election fraud?
IN any case, I don't think your comparison changes my point. My point isn't that ID can never be required. My point was the justification should match the evidence...the excuse being used is the 2020 election was 100% invalid. SO, if the rationale would have been something like "IDs will modestly improve election integrity" (or public confidence like Northern said) that's one conversation. But if the rationale is "Theres widespread fraud affecting national elections," the evidence hasn't supported that (at least from what I've seen). SO, again it boils down to what problem are we trying to solve?
If there is evidence those affidavits aren't being verified or investigated when there's probable cause, then improve enforcement. That's still different from saying there's widespread fraud that's altered national election outcomes.
I have REAL ID as well, but like most states it doesn’t show citizenship status. Most of the registered voters in the U.S. would need a new license to vote under the SAVE America Act. That’s dumb.I live in Florida. I have a Real ID. I had to prove I was a US citizen when I got my current Florida license. Florida doesn't let illegals vote in any election.
None. I never claimed it was an absolute right.Tell me the section of the Constitution or Amendments that say voting is an absolute right.
As for everything else...the examples you gave (staying registered after moving, voting twice, voting on behalf of someone else, etc.) absolutely would be fraud if someone actually cast an illegal ballot. I never said it doesn't happen. Heck, I linked the database that tracks that sort of stuff.I'd say the threat if terrorism has nothing to do with an ID, but has everything to do with what I bring through a security checkpoint, which I have to waive my 4A rights to do.
Why does the justification have to match the evidence? As far as that goes, what evidence are you looking for? What is your definition of fraud? I moved from NC over 8 years ago. I'm still registered to vote there. I know this because they sent me a summons for jury duty recently. How many NY/NJ snowbirds do you think are voting in both NY/NJ and FL? Is that fraud? How many get caught? Who is even looking for that?
My pop was in a nursing facility for over 2 years with dementia. There are hundreds of thousands of people in that condition in Florida. Who is stopping the attendants from voting using the patients' ballots?
Election fraud happens all the time, but is rarely reported in the news, or if it is, we only see the snarky comments from the left that it's only Republicans. How much does it matter? George W Bush won the 2000 election by 537 votes.
For clarification, some of the SAVE Act requirements are asinine IMO. I also think the Motor Voter Act back in the day made the current issue harder. In quite a few states when you get a DL you only need check a box saying you are eligible to vote, under penalty of perjury. That needs to change.
No a Florida issued Real ID doesn't prove citizenship.I live in Florida. I have a Real ID. I had to prove I was a US citizen when I got my current Florida license. Florida doesn't let illegals vote in any election.
His doesn't either. Starting January 1, 2027 newly issued Real IDs in Florida will indicate citizenship. Unless @Finance85 is from the future he is full of baloney.I have REAL ID as well, but like most states it doesn’t show citizenship status. Most of the registered voters in the U.S. would need a new license to vote under the SAVE America Act. That’s dumb.
But then you don't get an "I VOTED TODAY" sticker so you can take a car selfie and post on social media for virtue signaling.I don’t want to wait in line to vote ever again.
Mail in voting is the way to go.
Why would anyone not want voters to show id? You show id to buy alcohol, tobacco, weed, check into a hotel, rent a car ect.
California includes our stickers with our mail-in ballots. But then you don't get an "I VOTED TODAY" sticker so you can take a car selfie and post on social media for virtue signaling.![]()
The OP is undoubtedly a Russian asset. Not a hoax.
The nearly 1,000-page report, the fifth and final one from the Republican-led Senate intelligence committee on the Russia investigation, details how Russia launched an aggressive effort to interfere in the election on Trump's behalf. It says the Trump campaign chairman had regular contact with a Russian intelligence officer and says other Trump associates were eager to exploit the Kremlin's aid, particularly by maximizing the impact of the disclosure of Democratic emails hacked by Russian intelligence officers.
The report is the culmination of a bipartisan probe that produced what the committee called "the most comprehensive description to date of Russia's activities and the threat they posed." The investigation spanned more than three years as the panel's leaders said they wanted to thoroughly document the unprecedented attack on U.S. elections.
Among the more striking sections of the report is the committee's description of the professional relationship between former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and Konstantin Kilimnik, whom the committee describes as a Russian intelligence officer.
"Taken as a whole, Manafort's high-level access and willingness to share information with individuals closely affiliated with the Russian intelligence services, particularly Kilimnik, represented a grave counterintelligence threat," the report says.

Senate panel finds Russia interfered in the 2016 U.S. election
The report purposely does not come to a final conclusion, as the other reports did, about whether there is enough evidence that Trump’s campaign coordinated or colluded with Russia to sway the election, leaving its findings open to partisan interpretation.www.pbs.org
Russia didn't change any votes, but they ran a social media campaign that favored Trump.
