It's not rocket science. In general everyone on welfare longterm with some exceptions should lose voting rights.Define "welfare". What are you talking about here? SSI payments going to disabled people? Tanf (which has strict timelines, Strict requirements to receive, work requirements, and pays pathetically small amounts)?
Apparently it is rocket science to you. You're throwing around this word "welfare" but not defining what you mean by it. There are no federal or state programs that are called "welfare". Are you talking Tanf? Snap? Medicaid? It's not rocket science. In general everyone on welfare longterm with some exceptions should lose voting rights.
the amounts don't make a difference...but if you haven't noticed, there's a heck of a lot of fraud being uncovered...so the strict guidelines don't appear to be strict enoughDefine "welfare". WTF are you even talking about here Maga?the amounts don't make a difference...but if you haven't noticed, there's a heck of a lot of fraud being uncovered...so the strict guidelines don't appear to be strict enough
Its not a serious conflict of interest issue. The amount of money influencing politicians on policy from corporations is a serious conflict of interest issue. While I don't think we should take the right to vote away from anyone, it raises a serious conflict of interest issue:
People can vote to take money away from people who earned it, so that it can be given to themselves.
That's a problem. That problem didn't exist when the constitution was drafted because 1) we didn't have income taxes and 2) we didn't have widespread government handouts.
I don't have the complete answer, but it's a serious flaw in the system. Step 1 would obviously be to dramatically scale back government handouts.
We have to eat. Food supply has to be subsidized if necessary. Its not a serious conflict of interest issue. The amount of money influencing politicians on policy from corporations is a serious conflict of interest issue.
Government handouts and subsidies towards farmers would be a good start right?
