and not to be the "didn't want him anyway" crowd, I'm more in the "we'll be fine without him" crowd.

After Relf's gone, we'll have:
Russell for 2 years
Favre for 3 years
Prescott for 4 years

I'm confident we can recruit another good QB before we run out.

Dan Mullen had Tim Tebow for a full season and still recruited Cam Newton. You add great players if they can make your team better. If Mullen wants Voytik and didn't get him, then I'm pretty disappointed in that.

Mullen hasn't offered Steven Bench... therefore, you could say Voytik chose Pitt over us, but i believe his parents are from there and education, to pre-med, i believe were very high on his list...

I doubt we take a qb this class. So, I really don't know how hard we were after Chad

but the depth chart was a big issue with him from what has been said by Paul. It was pretty much him or no one unless Liggins shows interest in us all of a sudden.

Since when did Croom become this great recruiter? Not just you, but I keep seeing people say that Croom was a better recruiter than Dan. That is ********. Let's look at Croom's Rivals recruiting rankings.

2004 not ranked in the top 50. Kept his fat *** in Green Bay and wasn't worried about recruiting.
2005 #34
2006 #46
2007 #39
2008 #44
2009 #25. If you're going to give Croom credit for recruiting this class then you have to give Dan credit for closing it. The higher profile recruits were wavering, and correct me if I'm wrong but Dan added Brauchle, Hutchins, White, and Berry to that class.

Dan's 1 full year of recruiting he finished #38. I'm not seeing where Croom is any better at recruiting.

Last time I checked we had more students enrolled at UMC than any other school. That enrollment mayhave changed recently, but our engineering departments areabout as good as it gets in the Southeast. Science departments are up there also.

but given he passed up VANDY(!!!!) and us, I'm guessing he chose Pitt (a) because, as you said, his family is from there, and (b) he can get an education, and (c) play. I wouldn't say the education is the first and foremost if he passed up Vandy. Family ties seem to be the main factor, and unfortunately we don't have that nor the nationally reknowned education like some others.

all 12 games next year...

next year will be similar to leak/tebow, when tebow would come in an run 10 plays a game.
